Where would I buy the edge strip? I can't find at Bunnings?

We’re in the same boat - did you find where to buy it?

How did you do the other side with the bevel!? Laminate doesn't wrap around bevels does it?

      Hi 360SRH 2
You just need to file the edge strip to match the shape of the bevel, you're correct in that laminate doesn't wrap around it.

kaboodle kitchen I meant how did they have the other edge done, not the one they installed, but now I believe it was a factory done counter top with custom bevel edge, and you guys just did the 90degree edge side.

The kaboodle edge strip was supplied by Bunnings in a roll. There is too much curl to get it to stick flat. I've tried to flatten it out under weight for 2 weeks but that didn't work.
How can I flatten out the edge strip?
How can I clamp it while the glue dries?
    Cheers

      Hi Mitchell,
There’s a couple of ways to straighten your edge strip, reverse the roll and leave for 2-3 days or take advantage of the warmer weather and place it in the sun for a couple of hours. This time may vary depending on the temperature.
We would recommend Sika premium contact adhesive, but there is a selection of premium contact adhesives available at Bunnings.
We strongly advise you follow the directions of the contact adhesive supplier for application methods and wait times before the materials are brought together for the strongest bond.
If you follow these processes you shouldn't require clamping.
      Hope that helps

      @@KaboodleAuKitchen Hi again.
I've had the edge piece clamped flat in the sun for a couple weeks now. Plus I've tried a hair dryer to heat the piece. Neither is working and there is a big curl in the edge piece which makes it impossible to glue.
Do you have a contact at Kaboodle which can order me a new flat piece. Bunnings said they can't help.
      Thanks.

i tried on a test piece with "my choice of contact adhesive" and it turned out terribly. Some advice on at least a type of contact adhesive would help.

      Hi Jarrod,
We'd recommend Selleys Kwik grip spray contact adhesive or Sika premium contact adhesive. Both are available in Bunnings Warehouse.
Also another tip is to ensure both surfaces are clean, dry and free of oils and fats.
Hope this helps, good luck with your project
