Border View Farms is a mid-sized family farm that sits on the Ohio-Michigan border. My name is Nathan. I make and edit all of the videos posted here. I farm with my dad, Mark and uncle, Phil. Our part-time employee, Brock, also helps with the filming. 1980 was our first year in Waldron where our main farm is now. Since then we have grown the operation from just a couple hundred acres to over 3,000. Watch my 500th video for a history of our farm I filmed with my dad.
I started making these videos in the fall of 2019 as a way to help show what I do on a daily basis as a farmer. Agriculture is different from any other industry and I believe the more people that are showing their small piece of agriculture, helps to build our story. We face unique challenges and stressful situations but have some of the most rewarding payoffs in the end. I get to spend everyday doing what I love, raising my kids on the farm, and trying to push our farm to be better every year. I hope that I can address questions or concerns that you might have about farms and agriculture.
I hope you enjoy my content and ask questions as you have them. I do my best to answer anything I can. Thanks for watching!
I appreciate you subscribing to my channel and liking my videos. You can also find me on Facebook borderviewfarms and on Instagram @borderviewfarms

Dumping a pile of fertilizer on the ground sounds like a great way to make it rain !
That tractor and spreader is a sweet rig . Especially with the Auto Steer . Makes it a great job .
I know your not happy with the beans , but 61 isn't bad .
Hopefully you get a good Friday and weekend.
STAY SAFE !!!
Didn't get in on the livestream late but watched it
Good morning
Nature's wonders, captured beautifully
If I haven't already mentioned it congratulations on 30K subscribers!
Night sight is very nice
If it ain't the deer, then it's the hunters. Can't win
just got my power and internet back from Helene first video i watch i missed my BVF's morning fix.
You can put the fluid film on and then drive down a Dusty Gravel Road or a field to cover all the fluid film
You had a really good couple days in this video
Your handle for the spinner adjustment keep it pointed up because fertilizer will hit it and you will have a gape in your spread pattern.
Great video good to see y'all
Thanks for the video
I would wait to put the fluid film on it till you spread fertilizer just my opinion
Loved the livestream last night. 😊
I hear him brag enough
@@terrywalton5861 Shut up. Lol
Sounds like when you lease out the hunting you need to either put it in writing or at the very least tell them about crops and where they can ride.
We got our lime thousands of years ago. NW Texas has too much. it makes good road base material!
Gosh, I'm sorry that someone was disrespectful of your hard work. My hubby custom combines for a local farmer. He got the beans done tonight. Now, he is going to take a break until the farmer gets his wheat planted. I really like watching your channel, mostly cause I usually spot landmarks to tell where you are. I grew up south of Hudson.
Gosh i hope you won't miss the 4 bushels of beans your hunters messed up too much 😂
Be it beans or money, It's never the amount, it's the principal.
1” to Start depending on how fast your Driving!
Nathan, when the beans are flying over the reel is that because they are getting tough? Do you have any dairy farms or cows near your farm? I ask because I bet a few years of good manure will help your soil make it even better than it is I know it will help your sandy soil out. You guys are really busy I love these videos but I am bias I like most of your videos. Hope you have another great day tomorrow.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
sounds like some hunters have lost privilages
Be careful the rain words, I completely understand the wheat situation, but we do not need a repeat of last year is all I am saying. Southwest lower michigan is were we farm and it was a nasty muddy party. Really bad.
If it was mine, I would wait until I got finished spreading for the year and then spray it, because to my thinking if you spray it now the fertilizer will stick to it and melt, I may be wrong but it’s just my thoughts
I think you are right. Stop washing everything
I would rather just have the coop spread the fertilizer and lime. You can get alot of stuff spread for 80 grand and no upkeep. What mess that makes reloading that and nothing will grow there in that spot. You will use that 2 months out of the year and then it will collect dust in the shed. Nice investment that is.
You consider 50 plus beans not good beans wow. That’s normal in my area
Where are you located north or south boarder
Sounds to me like you could use another hired hand to work when brock cant make it
Yeah for about 5 days a year
He has them in development, another year or two, and they will be ready
@@jocalafarms4051And in a couple years after that, the boys will kick him out of the combine and planting tractor. Been there as the son and don't want to experience that as the dad, giving up my favorite jobs to the next generation. 😢
@@BorderViewFarms I GUESS THEY WONT BE HUNTING THERE ANYMORE UNREAL HOW PEOPLE CAN BE SO RUDE NOW DAYS
that is why i do not lease any hunters, if it was hunters going through field - then just cancel their lease !!!!!!!!, we have problems with hunters all the time -
Good morning
