  • John shows you how to clear a blocked nozzle on an Epson R3000 inkjet printing using MAGIC BULLET printhead cleaner.
    Click on www.specialisti... to purchase.
This technique can also be used with the Epson 3800 / 3880, and virtually every Large Format
Epson inkjet printer - Placing a pad soaked with MAGIC BULLET printhead cleaner under the print head overnight allows the vapour given off to soften the hard ink residues causing problems. In the morning, replace this pad with another thicker pad, also soaked in MAGIC BULLET, and move the print head to and fro for half a minute or so.
Look for a small improvement to your nozzle check print-out, and repeat these soaking / scrubbing cycles until you achieve a perfect nozzle check. - Be patient - remember the cost of a replacement print head - far better to gradually improve your nozzle check, persevere with this process until you achieve a good print..

I know you posted this a long time ago, but your method fixed my Epson R3000 which I have had since 2012, and now maybe a few more good years before I buy the latest Epson with the bottles instead of the cartridge. Thanks!

I'm going to be placing an order. Got a R3000 that hasn't been turned on in over 3 years. Surprise, no yellow ink is making it to the page. Thanks for posting this video. It's given me hope.

Hi John, thanks for posting this video. My P600 that had a partially clogged Light Magenta channel and fully clogged Cyan channel. It took three attempts to get the Cyan back, and all nozzles are working perfectly now!
FYI, to anybody else dealing with an stubborn nozzle: After the second try, my Cyan channel was still completely clogged so I tried extra padding (four-ply) and soaked the pad with a bit extra Magic Bullet--I pretty much saturated it actually--and then I let it sit for a couple of hours. (The first two tries sat overnight.) As they say, third time was the charm...the next test print showed Cyan fully unclogged. Hope this info helps.

Thanks for this. A friend has already used the product and it worked well. I have the product and will be using it on my R3000. My question are did you remove the ink cartridges from the printer unit before doing this and did you double the first Jay Cloth like the second? Will report back. Thank you.

Many thanks for posting this video. I used this method to fix my SureColor P600. It took more than half a dozen repetitions of this to get the black heads to clear. But perhaps I was being more cautious than needed. I ended up using thicker wads of jade cloth with four layers to allow it to touch the heads properly and get the gunk to come off. Magic bullet worked a treat.

Thank you for your recommendation. Unfortunately, in my P600, I have failed to free the heads by disconnecting the power cable with the heads move. What have I done wrong?

@@oliverthomas9052 You can't replace just the nozzles, it will be the print head that will need to be changed. However that is an Epson only job and usually costs almost the same as a new printer. For better / proper advice on cleaning / maintaining printers, look up Jose Rodriguez on youtube.
