The Nugget, oh wait gentrification got rid of that. China Diner, dang, the same happened. The Upper Deck, Gold n Silver, Nu Yaulk Pizza, Le Vecchia, Bavarian World, El Salvador, Shawarmageddon, Little Philadelphia, Hash House a go go, and tons more Reno staples that were around forever, and are gone due to corporate greed
Corporate greed has nothing to do with those areas being gentrified. Many of those places were replaced with other independent restaurants and shops. It’s not like they were replaced with Walmarts and McDonalds.
@ you need to be more specific, because as of the list above most were replaced with condominiums or restaurants owned by the corporations that bought the property, and the rest are just empty to this day. So what are you referring to?
The best pizza in Reno is definitely Southcreek. Get the shrimp appetizer (and the ricotta appetizer), then dip your pizza crust in the leftover oil. Uni for sushi or Oceano at Peppermill is fresh and an excellent deal. Having lived a number of years in the south, I'm here to tell you, BBQ in Reno is a sad situation. Brothers? No. BJs? No. Hell, Dickies (a chain) does better Q than all of them.
Guys you just talk about the food without showing close ups of it being made, or close ups of it being sliced, diced and being eaten. blah, blah, blah..... this is not a talk show....this is a food show! Show the food and make it front and center! Make the food the star! The food should be on screen 90% of the time!
I would love to do that but it would be way too hard to make that kind of video on the current budget. Send us some funding and we will make it happen. I appreciate you watching and your feedback.
Yeah agreed. This is dumb when there is so much content out there that shows the restaurants. It’s not even worth making restaurant content when you aren’t showing the restaurants.
I agree. We need to see the food, actual clips of inside the restaurant and outside. Your comment about sending funding is classless. A suggestion…use pictures from other reviewers and include in your podcast otherwise very misleading.

@@LivingInRenoTahoe no-roll is the lowest grade of beef traded. USDA prime, then choice, then select, then no-roll or ungraded. That’s what they use. CAB is certified angus beef. Brothers uses CAB. You can instantly tell the difference in the quality of their meat. Maybe CharBQ has better sauce. I’m not making that declaration one way or another but as for the actually meat…. CharBQ is low level. I trade beef for a living…. (Reno BBQ is actually really bad overall for what it’s worth) Loved the video though! Shout out to JJs sushi 🍣 on vista by Safeway. Love em
Best all around pizza wings and fries is pizza plus. Stop playing. Best sushi in town is Hiroba sushi. Sushi pier looked dirty inside when I went last. Western Village is OG stake house 100%. Thai Chili is the best in Reno i think. I know a lot of people like palace jade but honestly I feel reno doesn't have good / value chinese food. Best burger in reno comes from Ryan's Saloon. I've been in reno since 2012 been in NV since 1987.

@@stevenburton7725 I ate at many of those places as well but what does this have to do with my video?
Corporate greed has nothing to do with those areas being gentrified. Many of those places were replaced with other independent restaurants and shops. It’s not like they were replaced with Walmarts and McDonalds.
@ you need to be more specific, because as of the list above most were replaced with condominiums or restaurants owned by the corporations that bought the property, and the rest are just empty to this day. So what are you referring to?
Brothers BBQ is great
The best pizza in Reno is definitely Southcreek.
@@ericred8124 fair points and Southcreek is the best.

Pizza: R town and Smiling With Hope
Sushi: not a huge seafood guy.
Italian: Mario Portofinos or La Cuccina. Honorable mention would be La Strada.
Steakhouse: Roxys and Charlie Palmer. The atmosphere in Western is a buzz kill for me. The bright light and low ceilings are an eye sore, I’d rather go to Texas road house.
Chinese: 2 guys from Hong Kong or SF Kitchen.

CharBQ uses no-roll beef. Not even a CAB house. It’s embarrassingly bad
@@poweshow what is no roll beef? CAB house? Honest questions from me.
(Reno BBQ is actually really bad overall for what it’s worth)
Loved the video though! Wife and I moving out of town later this month so will def be hitting off the few on the list we haven’t yet! Cheers!
