Do you know the size of the engine splash guard clip? I wish you showed how you removed it? I missing a few clips but I can't find the right one to order it.
Hey dear do you ever change the transmission fluid….I am confused,so says change it at 100k some says life time fluid, don’t touch if .what your opinion ..?
@@premojailall30 the car manual says that the transmission fluid is not changeable and it will last as long as the car itself. I haven’t changed mine and I have 209K miles right now and I’m still driving the car everyday.
I have a 2012 Hyundai Elantra and I've been running Royal Purple full synthetic and it's the best engine oil I've ever used. And yes it is kind of expensive but it's worth it because of all the people I know that have Hyundai Elantras and have engine noise problems I don't have any engine noises.😊
I know how to do a change but i got kinda nervous last minute so i stopped by here before doing it lol okay doing it right now thanks car repair guys ✊🏼
The OEM Hyundai filter is far superior to the Bosch. Also, always use a new oil drain plug gasket. The Hyundai oil filter has heavier casing to resist pil pressure surges and an O ring gasket, which is superior to a flat gasket , like on the Bosch.
hi there, I love your videos. I learned how to do a oil change on a Hyundai Elantra Coupe. However instead of 4 liters I put in about 3.5 liters. Is that dangerous? I can put in the rest, the car belongs to a friend.
Quick question, are you lifting from the jack point and putting the jack stands next to that point or are you lifting right next to the jack point and putting the jack stands on the jack point?
Ya when ya buy a filter from Hyundai they give you a replacement. Always run the oem filter. The bypass spring is in the filter. Keeps oil pressure higher in high rpms.
You forgot the crush washer, it helps seal the hole and prevents stripping the threads on the oil pan. Hyundai filters are of good quality, and they also allow oil to bypass the filter on cold starts to get oil to the engine faster, which no other filter to my knowledge does.
Ok my car is Hyundai elantra 2013. My engine was kinda shaking. So when i drive n i press the d brake it shake a little bit or sometimes it doesn't shake. So yesterday ii went to the shop explain it. N they just take out the oil came out of d engine and thats it. So do they have to put new oil or something like. Coz like ii said they just take out the oil n told me im okay to go. So i left the shop. Put still kinda shaky.
I have 2011 Elantra, it has full synthetic oil but the temp guarge is always halfway.. Q: can I safely change it back to regular oil without damaging the engine?
hi, Auto Repair Guys! I have a 2015 Hyundai Elantra and it burned ALL the oil the first months after I bought it in 2018. Then, I started using high mileage oil and that basically quit happening. Now, water started mixing with the oil and the car is stalling after a few thousand miles, but when I change the oil it works fine again. Any suggestions on what could be happening that doesn't include needing to replace the engine? Thank you for the video! I did my first oil change myself this Feb 2020 on little ramps at home and it was amazing. Jes. :)
I have a 2011 elantra and the way I turn it on/off is using my right hand steering wheel controls I press "Trip" until "ECO" is on the top of my display then hold down the "Reset" button until it turns on/off. Hope that helps!
I have the same car (2013 Elantra, GLS) and there is an eco mode bottom so I don’t know what you’re talking about. You can turn it off and on; it’s not automatically on.
That oil filter is fake look at 4:14 and the writing is supposed to be in Korean and it supposed to have a H on in the inside where the bypass valve is at Hyundai and Kia said fake oil filters are the reason for engine problems mostly
That engine sounds horrible, take it to the dealer and see if it might be covered under warranty by the infamous bearing/rod failure on those hyundays.
It`s one thing to go gloveless when you change oil 10 times a day but for a 5 minute video that is going to be watched thousands of times, just wear some gloves.
Why don't you guys use gloves? Seems like u two prob wear gloves when playin with eachothers bungholes so y not grab a pair or just double 'er up n change the oil in the car right after u change ur cute friends'?

'Don't ask why we dont' you sound like my boss explaining the job to newcomers.
Great car. I’m keeping mine forever. Already have 200K on it. No major issues , regular maintenance only.

No noise? you must live in warmer climate.
Using this video as guide for my daughter's Hyundai. Thanks
great video, straight to the point but step by step!!

The best Video, very informative the step-by-step procedure is very clean to understand even you are not a mechanic, You are the best Auto Repair guy.
Nice tips especially about adding some oil to the new oil filter. Never knew that.
I love the step-by-step directions that you verbalize. Have you thought about doing a video for a 2017 Elantra?
With the bottom cover which more than doubles the time for the the change, along with flimsy plastic connectors.
The best of the best channel that I have seen of mechanics.
I gotta ask. Why don't you guys wear gloves? LOL Good video. Very thorough. I'l be subscribing for more repairs. Thank You
Good instructive video. Thanx!!
Been going through videos, thanks to everyone for not saying the sizes or sockets you need
Do you know what it is?
You guys are amazing. Thank you for saving me so much money on my car
Love you guys ❤️

Awesome video. Do it yourself, people!
(Most of your parts probably aren’t hand tight though lol so get some tools)

What do you mean “new oil drain plug” is that for the oil plan or no?
Thanks for helping me save money :)
At the 1:07 mark, what are you using for the jacking point? Are you placing the jack stands at the place where you would use the sissor jack?
Yes
Really good video
I love your Chanel!! Really helpful for home mechanics! Ty

They don't use gloves because they like the feel of the engine's metal and it's warm oil all over their bare hands.
Lube is lube, man.
Can you make a video on changing automatic transmission fluid?
Alia Bednar yes please
please take oil cap off first. if cap brakes and you can't fill oil then youre in a tight spot.
Cant believe noones has done the "in Soviet Russia" joke yet. Great video guys thanks.
Can you please show where you placed the jack stands

Thx, gonna do this on my moms car🙏

It's ok if you have to mangle the old oil filter. Some people over tighten them.

Is it bad to not put oil in the filter and start the vehicle? Does it mess the it up?

Use gloves, Use eyes protection. But never ask us why we don't 😂
Because they havent come up with a good enough reason for not! :P
I have never used an oil filter wrench. Grip n rip
Que aceite usaste
So oil filter just has to be hand tight?
Use gloves, don't ask why we don't.....
That oil filter is fake look at 4:14 and the writing is supposed to be in Korean and it supposed to have a H on in the inside where the bypass valve is at Hyundai and Kia said fake oil filters are the reason for engine problems mostly
Your recommend wearing glosses and you did this bare handed.
Question to many miles I have to change the oil on Hyundai Elantra
Every 10K kilometres ig
В картере ещё полстакана остаётся, можно шприцом откачать..
Why doesn't it show you removing the plastic splash guard?
If you're running the car without it, it will not get the typical MPGs.

Wait video about power steering fluid change on Mercedes W163 (if you needed) :-)
5w30 ?
According to the manual, you can use 5W-30 or 10W-30 in addition to the recommended 5W-20.
Took the skid plate off before hand huh
No need to reset the oil service
What type of oil should I use on my 2016 Hyundai Elantra SE? I've been using Synthetic but was told I should use Conventional? What do you recommend?
Use quaker state 5W20 synthetic if you live somewhere that is cold. I live in Canada and I used synthetic because of the harsh climate. Best oil ever
U gang fa dis yung Avila.
Let it down slowly..
**CLANK**
Please during the maintenance I didn't see you changing the fuel filter. Any reason?
That engine sounds horrible, take it to the dealer and see if it might be covered under warranty by the infamous bearing/rod failure on those hyundays.
The Elantra did not have this issue. It was Sonatas and Santa Fe models.
P.S. my girlfriends 13 Elantra had the issue.
My 2013 Elantra got a new engine under warranty a few years ago. There's actually a class action settlement extending the warranty to 125,000 miles.
Song name 0:01-0:05?
Why didn’t you open the oil filler cap before you drained the oil?
Why don’t you wear gloves? Why can’t I ask why you don’t wear gloves?
How much oil do you use to change the oil?
MetaGaming In this video, the Elantra uses 4 quarts of oil.
At 6:20 ( and in your manual) it says 4.23 quarts ( 4L)
My elantra run like a tourtle!! I don't know what's the problem

Walmart added to much in my oil n ruined car. Was stuck on freeway. With my kids
Warning!!!!!wArning!!!!! They have put the wrong oil in there!!! It not 5w30 this car/year takes 5w20 review your car manual
yes
You’re a dumbass
5w-30 works as well; just don’t use 5w30 if you live in a cold climate. 5w-20 is best for optimal mileage.
If it's like my Elantra, the manual says you can also use 5W-30 and 10W-30.
