You guys have to watch all of the trailers for the movie, since the movie isn’t fully out to other countries, then I would recommend reacting to the trailers!
If you guys didnt know, when narrator/tsuki said in the end “but speed is not invincible and they(kag&hinata) knew that a lil better than anyone else” it’s referring to Karasuno’s first breakdown lost against the great King, when Kageyama and hinata used the same move(which paralleled the scene where the twins used it) getting blocked and defeated from a crucial game.
@@saintboy93 Naah thats just not observing everything properly. Happens as the ending is so fast paced. The animation style in the last episode is just how it looks in manga. There cant be any complaints about that.
I love Hinata so much as a MC I cannot even explain. For the first 3 seasons, the author used Hinata as a comedy factor, but when you see these last 5 episodes, you suddenly realize that all those moments were the stepping stones for character development. The whole 85 episodes were character development of Hinata. The growth he had from just wanting to hit a cool spike to play the the game so maturely. Hinata, Kageyama and Tsukki have some of the best character arc in all of anime I have watched.
Kageyamas in particular is such a well written arc, going from lonely King to being a more passive yet skilled setter and giving people the set they want (hinata and asahi) then by season 4 becoming a benevolent king by pushing his teammates with his sets (tsukki and tanaka) after getting more comfortable with them. Such a beautiful circle arc
“Speed is very very powerful weapon, but it's not invincible. They knew it better than others." - Tsukki Season 1 finale against Seijoh, the same lines(This angle, this timing) were used by Hinata-Kageyama to get the final point to win the 3rd set but it was blocked by Seijoh blockers(It's was kendaichi if I'm right). So, they knew it(speed) being a powerful weapon but not invincible..
I've literally never seen a reactor recognize this callback. None. Nor the end of the Seijoh match of season 2. If you've seen one, I'd like to know who. Cause seriously, watched 100s of episodes of Haikyuu reactions and nobody has gotten this callback. Always thought it was weird, since I got it the first time and it hit SO hard for me.
Such a great moment. After all the “fighting” between the first years, a true moment of trust between Tsukki and Hinata after everything they’ve been through and what they learned together during the ball boy arc
I know! I love it so much! In the translation i've read it was "So please... BE THERE!" And i teared up hard. Tsukki went from mocking Hinata to trusting him to be there, from barely caring about a club to living the sports.
Agreed, but because of what he's actually saying in japanese. In a direct translation It's a lot closer to "So you better get it up" It's shows that Tsukki both knew Hinata was there and expected him to get the receive. Which also adds that much more to Hinata recognizing how good of a blocker Tsukki is because he realized all of it.
Asahi's sympathy line for other players 'hitting these sets' is underrated af. Since Kageyama will move heaven and earth just to set the ball like he did for Asahi to delay his spike, the pressure on the hitters to reciprocate that effort is as equally terrorising as the judgement they'll receive if they dishonor the king's will. Which is closely tied with the motif of Tanaka's line shot and the personal growth of all the encompassing characters. Freakish writing
I didnt see anyone pointing this out yet, but the darkened corners in the rally showed how the boys were getting tunnel vision bcs how fast the play was and they were forcing themselves to be faster. The light hinata, our sun, brought pulled them out from that darkness and slowed down the play. Favorite bit of detail there
Yess tsukki fr got me so hard in this ep, like the way he trusted HINATA?? To be there for the receive??? Because tsukki was THERE during the whole ball boy arc, he was the only one who saw everything hinata went through, and also him being the one to make the observations about speed bc technically HE was the one who first faced the freak quick and hated it and has been the one observing hinata’s development all along as the sun vs moon like oml. the character writing just really is that insane. Not to mention the seijoh1 callbacks!! Winning the same way they lost before is just so poetic. So full circle. Kageyama and hinata have just come so SO far both individually and as a team and the payoff here is just SO satisfying I’m literally still not over it loll. The investment we’ve all developed in this volleyball anime like what on earth?? Sobs the magic of haikyuu
I want to talk about the final point, as it was reflected in Kita's eye, one of the concepts that this character carries is "There is always someone watching" and he's the one who saw that point, everyone was also watching that match, from Daishou to Itachiyama's duo, even Kamomedai's duo, Nekoma and Fukurodani. Man I love Haikyuu's writing, fourth season is my favorite, a lot of character development and amazing narrative.
Haikyuus greatest feat is feat we care so much about these boys that their moments of growth and sorrow always moves us. Tsukki going from being burned by his brothers deception, half assing volleyball because THIS IS JUST A CLUB, to learning to trust his teammates and diving for the ball just for a chance? Heartwrenching. Kageyama growing from an isolated and arrogant soloist in a team sport to dedicating all his tremendous skill to his spikers? Fantastic. Hinata Shoyo just wishing for a chance, thinking the wall of height will always stop him, to flying high with his spikes and falling deeper by learning to love receives? BEST BOY MC. The entire team is such a supportive family. I'm so glad you watched this and fell in love with Karasuno, their rivals and friends along with us ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
The fact that they showed kita's eye when the ball touched the line implying that he knew of the possibility of getting the twins quick received by karasuno and had he been on the court, he would've definitely caught that ball and they wouldn't have lost that match.
@@TheSilenthvokhe Is not offensively good, thats why he comes on whenever aran or ginjima are in the back row, and sub off when the rotation brings kita in the front row again.
@@TheSilenthvok Haikyuu doesn't really get into it a lot technically, but in indoor volleyball people like Daichi and Kita usually play a position called Defense Specialist; they're capable of digging up the ball after strong hits or blocks and competent serve receivers & passers (getting the ball to the setter). Despite the fact that we see Daichi being an opposite hitter and sometimes used offensively, covering the skills of a DS has been his role and position through all their matches. If Karasuno had more well rounded players to play defense, Daichi would probably have the DS position like Kita and only used situationally.
I feel like Haikyuu's writing grows noticeably more nuanced and mature in S4 - and not that it wasn't before, but there's really just something about it in S4 that I completely understand why you feel so torn. Production quality wise S3 was better than S4; apart from COVID, the team also changed, and the director of S1-S3, Susumu Mitsunaka, left, feeling like he's done what he could for Haikyuu and that it needed some fresh perspective for Nationals. He did, however, come back for the movies (at least the 1st one, no info on the 2nd one yet), wanting to try his hand at things that are impossible/much more limited in a serialized anime, and Damn does it feel good to have him back :")
I could never really grasp what it was, because it obviously wasn’t the writing that was lacking. It also wasn’t bad at all, but it makes sense that it‘s probably the director and his choices that made the difference.
14:48 when tsukki said speed is cool but not invincible and they both (Hinata and kags) knew that better than anyone else my mind went straight to s1 seijoh match where their quick got read just like they read miya twins quick here. Goes to show how amazing the writing is. The miyas had just started their journey with the freak quick and the crazy duo had already been through it. PEAK WRITING. PEAKYUU. HYPEKYUU!!! I'm going to miss y'alls reaction to haikyuu but I am excited for blue lock cause it's such a different beast compared to haikyuu.
my fave season is definitely 3 overall, but season 4 writing takes the cake among all seasons. it's so poetic, and i love how the payoffs didn't come from the flashy attacks (which was what got hinata interested in volleyball at the beginning btw) but on his receives, jump starting his change as a volleyball player. and the final point being a block on an attack that mirrors the freak duo quick?? PEAK
Inarizaki has a top tier libero and Asahi was going head to head against him for the entire match. More then the blockers, Akagi was the one who kept digging Asahi's spikes. Wiping the ball so far that Akagi couldn't chase it down, when it mattered the most, was just epic.
What makes Akagi such a great libero is because he was under everyone's radar. Yes of course during the match he save so many balls, but the longer it goes the more you could get annoyed by him. And that's when you realize that his present are legit dangerous.
When the Miya Twins went "This position... This timing.... This angle... It's perfect!" the line is a direct copy to what Kagayama was thinking when he set the freak quick to Hinata during their first official match against Seijoh, which ultimately got blocked and losing them the game. I think it is so poetic that Kageyama and Hinata were the ones to block it because, like Tsukki said, they're the ones who know full well that speed is not invincible, which is the antithesis and a challenge to the banner and motto of Inarizaki and the twins, "We Don't Need the Memories", because without the memories they would not be here to block the last spike from the Twins. I love how the anime dimmed the edges of the screen during the last rally where they were going to fast as a metaphor as them slowly strangling themselves out, before having the entire screen brighten up when Hinata receives the ball nice and high. He really is our little ball of sunshine
7:04 Stunning form 😂 9:09 Kags face after a setter dump is just 👌 like he’s saying to Atsumu “who’s the goody two shoes now?” 11:41 Carlie not thinking Suga was gonna make her cry and then she does is hilarious 😆 12:50 Carlie has got some next level Daichi senses man! Saying daichi’s gonna get it with that much conviction just seconds before he does was so in incredibly ballsy. I also think that’s the loudest Carlie’s screamed for Haikyuu reactions. Love it so much 😂
Hinata was MVP clearly this episode. He recieved another big spike, he slowed down the pace by taking it easy saving everyone from choking, and made the final block.
This is my favourite episode of Haikyuu! Hinata's moment here gives me chills every time. The pay-off from the start of the season was so great and so unexpected, absolutely amazing writing!
12:38 Tsukki was serving, so Noya is not on the court. Many people don't realize this. 🤣 Noya only comes in for Tsukki or Hinata when they're receiving.
Damn, kinda wished they paid attention more to Ukai telling them to slow down, they started getting hype Ukai was talking about speed being a curse 😂, took a little bit of impact away from that Hinata moment because it was supposed to be a 'light in an impending doom' kind of moment.
Yeah I noticed that. Carlie was like "YES!" during Ukai's narration, but it wasn't a good thing lol. They were rushing to get that final point, and Ukai noticed it was throwing them off.
It’s so funny how haikyuu shortly fools us into thinking the twins quick will work, because the characters appear😂 It’s usually a sign for a huge anime style attack!
17:10 It's also a bit meta. Before S4 even ended for you guys, you're already aware that the manga has ended and that the finales will be condensed in 2 movies. You're aware that the end is near. So storytelling-wise, it just doesn't make sense that Karasuno loses to Inarizaki, and we never get to see Battle of the Garbage Dump. Reading the weekly manga years ago though, we truly had no idea if the mangaka would allow Karasuno to win. We didn't know how long the manga would run. For all we know back then, the manga could go on until Hinata goes through his 2nd and 3rd yr in high school. It's unconventional and could have been controversial if Karasuno lost to Inarizaki, but it's not a new concept either. Hajime no Ippo took a loooong time before a pay-off with the main rival happened. Karasuno could have lost here, 3rd yrs from all teams retire unsatisfied, and maybe Hinata beats Kenma next year instead. So many possibilities. Manga readers back then felt the stakes more.
Season 4 pays off hinatas arc over the whole series up to this point. It makes you all the sudden look back and realize that hinatas been slowly take those small steps the whole series and this is the result.
quickly perused the top comments and didn't see anything about how the Twin's final quick attack is a direct parallel to the Kagehina quick in the first szn in their final episode with Seijoh. Tsukki's dialogue hits 100x harder then.
Season 4 is my favourite. Purely because how well written and the amount character growth that happens for a lot of these characters. The animation for season 3 is my favourite. But overall i would go for season 4 because the experience is unmatched.
I loved how everyone was amazed by Hinata's growth. You can notice Noya's excitement every time Shoyo was in the right position to receive, but he continued receiving with his face. Then after stopping Aran's spike, it was the moment Hinata unlock the beast mode and received everything they throw at him. The last piece to make this moment even more epic, was Daichi and Suga moved by Hinata's growth, I loved Suga's teary eyes as he remembered how green was Hinata at the beginning and how he's so mature in the spam of months. I think it's poetic how Kag and Shoyo stopped that ball together, their crazy spike, the weapon the twin used against them.
The added pressure and speed, the swelling music, ukai screaming at the boys to slow down, hinatas Moment is so well set up, you feel the pressure dissolving!
The all round lesson we have learned from the quick, building since the first ep shows it’s not just a flashy move. The speed is a curse sequence- absolutely top tier.
Love how the Minus Tempo was initially Kagayama and Hinata's thing , the twins took it from them, then Kagayama and Hinata took it back from them by the final block
my favourite season is definitely s4, it’s just what you say, the quality in this season’s writing is excellent, all the moments are amazing, the season is peak and although my favourite match is the one against seijoh in s2, i think this one against inarizaki is the best one, everyone is playing at their absolute best it’s amazing
Season 4 is my favorite! So many payoffs, and incredible writing. Even so, it is just this good because of the baggage, because all seasons were incredible, so that season 4 could shine
When Tsukishima was talking about blocking that spike, he wasn’t just hoping Hinata would be there for the receive. He was TRUSTING that he’d be there! Let’s him focus on cutting the angles the spiker had funneling him to Hinata.
The upset of the series, from the preview to the beggining to the later part of the match i thought this was logically the game to lose since the first defeat against Aoba in S1. S2 Aoba and S3 Shiratorizawa were a "they can lose if this was real life, but narrative i don't see them losing, i can't imagine the 3rd years not going to Nationals" , but this, Karasuno triumphing over the 2nd place in the inter-high, the ultimate challengers that had arguably 5 people competing for top 3 in their position at a national level, like the only thing we heard about Shiratorizawa in Nationals is "they went there 3 consecutive years", but not winners or being finalists, what an amazing match. Tsukki being the one that saw both the quick failing vs Aoba and Hinata at the training arc, seeing everything go full circle. The last point is by far my favorite point in Haikyuu, from Daichis relentless defense to Tanaka rebounding the ball, not to mention Hinata's recieve and the best quick in the series from the Miya Twins. I can't wait for the movie and (hopefully) the next Arcs.
17:29 im a bit late but as a follow up to what you said, i think it also helps that shiratorizawa and ushiwaka have been established as a big boss to defeat way back in season 1, therefore had build up for their grand match. meanwhile, inarizaki and the miya twins, although very flashy and powerful, didnt get to brew as long. :D
Love your reacts guys! It’s been fun rewatching with you. I’ve been waiting for a new season of Haikyu but found out two movies are dropping soon to wrap up the show. Can’t wait to watch you guys react to that in the near future.
So glad episode 1 of this reaction series popped up in my recommended literally the day you guys uploaded, it's been a fun journey. Also it may have been pointed out but what Atsumu says at 13:30 is the exact thing Kageyama says at the end of season 1 before they get blocked.
19:46 Honestly, the thing that elevates Haikyu to one of my favorite all-time pieces of media is precisely this. It's the fact Haruichi Furudate does not waste a single scene. He uses every part of the narrative animal so that the payoff is always EARNED. And he'll set up stuff like two seasons (or like 100 chapters, in the manga) ahead of time, call back to it as it develops, so that when it finally hits that payoff, it's perfect. Just... spectacular character writing.
I personally like season 2 for their training arc! Of course the match with Seijoh was mental but the building into that moment is the one that I like the mosttt
This is my favorite episode out of the whole show!! Hinata’s high receive does so much to show his growth. Even though everyone else is lost in the moment, Hinata is thinking and showing his awareness! Then for the final point, Kags and Hinata get their full-circle moment, blocking their own attack in a similar way that Oikawa blocked their in the first match against Seijoh. Best ep
You didnt get that the twins attack was the exact same attack that kags and hinata did in the match against seijou, but this time they blcoked their own attack!
Right when they emphasized that Hinata is the "Sun" and Tsukki is the "Moon", i have been waiting for something to happen and symbolize an "Eclipse".... cue 5:26 .... IT FREAKIN' HAPPENED!! I was so hyped when this episode came out. Fave Season for Intensity = Season 3 Fave Season for Writing = Season 4 Season 4 just has so much detail, poetry, and callbacks that whenever I rewatch it and focus on something different you just find out so much more deep stuff. I am so hyped for the movies, because the quality of animation will be even more polished because its MOVIE QUALITY
I've said it before and I say it again, Inarizaki match is my favourite. Not only we have amazing lovable rivals, but this is the match were Karasuno becomes a solid team, where everything since the begining of the serie come together. Kageyama overcomes his fear and is a true king, Tsuki actually enjoys and puts an effort to play with his teammates, Noya actually suffers but overcomes it thanks to the team, Tanaka gets supported and grows stronger. And Hinata. All S4 is for Hinata to grow. By raising his defensive power he has become now a round player, even more valuable than before. And it's poetic that a "pure offensive team" defeated Inarizaki with defensive plays, specially the last one, being KageHina the ones who stop TOGETHER their signature play
First season is definitely my #1 but it's for plot reasons. The ending was great and "Winners and Losers" is my favourite episode as well. Season 4 is my #2, animation, great opponents, character growth and payoff, it has it all.
Last block by Hinata and Kageyama is answering back how they lost seijoh before. What the miya twins did and say was exactly the same as what kagayama said. “This position… this timing…. This angle” Only h+t understood that moment and reacted Genius writing❤ kudos to Furudate sensei
30:26 Kageyama's set here wasn't good, he was on the ground because he was rushing, not because it was a good, epic set. The whole point of that scene was that everyone was rushing, until Hinata pullled everyone out of it
For me, the match against Shiratorizawa is still my favorite match of Haikyuu, but season 4 is definitely my favorite season. In that same regard, I like Ushiwaka more as an opponent and I like Atsumu more as a complete character.
What Tsuki said during the game winning point is a throwback to Season 1 where Kageyama and Hinata used speed (minus tempo quick) at their Seijo matchpoint and was read by Oikawa and blocked for the win. "They know that a little better than everyone else."
Thank you guys for sharing your reaction with us i really love haikyuu I cried and laughed with you guys through all these episodes specially in this one you really delivered the hype and tension in it perfectly
This parallel to how Oikawa's team stopped their quick . I am so happy how much both of Hinata and Kageyama has grown from past mistakes ❤ and that final narration from Tsuki is just cherry on the top
I love that Ange appreciates all the small haikyuu merch like the pins/ buttons, when I was in Japan I was astounded by the amount of Haikyuu merch in all forms that the Japanese people clearly love that someone from Aus would look at as pointless (individual cards, photo frames literally anything you can imagine done with a Haikyuu spin) Just mentioning so you guys can get involved in it all.
This show is infectious and I cannot wait to see the movies. I wish we had a full 25 episode season but to have a bigger budget for the movies to give us the best animation is going to be epic to see.
The reason why Ukai isn't getting paid is because he technically isn't the coach. Coaches need to be part of the school teaching staff, and for Karasuno the coach is Takeda (he is referred to as such by the announcer back during the finals against Shiratorizawa). Ukai is actually the assistant coach
In terms of seasons. Season 3 would be the best since it solely covered an entire match with Shiratorizawa. The significance of their win there would be they could go to Nationals once again. It's an all out battle. However, season 4 tackles more than just the matches. It showed how Hinata and everyone's character development. During Suga's flashback, I noticed some of the reactors didn't notice that all of Hinata's flashback moments there, he was saying "I love spiking" or something. And from a kid who only thought that spiking, scoring and being the Ace is his way to winning volleyball, to a kid who now values receives, positioning and overall gameplay. That is one of the most epic writing of a sports MC. Plus, Inarizaki vs Karasuno is on a different level. The gameplays, the players stories from each team are absolutely crazy. Wherein in Shiratorizawa, you could only see Ushiwaka and Tendo's side of the story. The other players are just "characters" I suppose. So season-wise, gonna give it to Season 3 for the sole reason that it is an important match and it is Finals. Best match SO FAR would be Inarizaki vs Karasuno, in my opinion. Haven't watch Nekoma vs Karasuno in theaters yet. But, I finished the manga. And the story writing of Haikyuu in terms of sports anime is great. That's why it's my 2nd favorite anime. Next to One Piece of course lol.
I never thought about it but ange brought up a great point of losing the stakes (somewhat) after seeing nekoma succeed and even if i personally dont feel that way because for me it only strengthens the hype because like there was no way they were going to lose against the first strong team they encounter at nationals after coming so long atleast thats what i thought in addition the nekoma plotline even without those two eps was always one of the most relevant thing of haikyuu from s1 so it has to happen so thats why it doesn't change much for me personally, its the same as why i think karasuno will win against them as well because the way its set up , karaasuno never winning agaisnt them, they overcoming their counters, kenma having a MOMENT himself to wish to play more or smth after losing, etc And with all these being said ange point is still valid and makes sense.
Really cool things to know. "This position, this timing, this angle..." is the same thing Kageyama said in episode 24 when they were one point down against Aoba Johsai. They were blocked and lost the game. The reason why Hinata and Kageyama read the quick against the twins was because THEY were in that exact same situation. They were the only two people on the court besides the twins that knew they were going to do it, and that's what lead them to be able to block that spike.
Honestly it’s so hard to pick a favorite season in haikyuu because everything just builds on top of each other! S1 sets up the idea of “the strongest six” with oikawa and seijoh, s2 builds upon that in the training camp so that OUR six comes up just enough for us to cinch the win in seijoh2s epic rematch, s3 pits that idea against shiratorizawa/washijou directly in the battle of concepts, and s4 doubles down on it even more with individual growth and development for everyone! Like at this point I think it really just comes down to which characters and teams you relate to/admire/vibe with more? Or which lessons and themes speak more to you personally! Like if you’re a big karasuno fan I think most would say s3 or s4 so it makes sense that you’re both torn between the two 😂 it’s also really hard because s3 has all the fast paced adrenaline from being match only in addition to the crazy cinematics/production value PLUS tsukkis moment, which was simultaneously SO hype and emotional it’s really up there as one of the best moments in the series. But then there’s s4, which while slower at times and with c19 struggles, had sooo many character moments that made you just sit back and go wow, they really just did that. Ball boy hinata and all the ways that paid off, reclaiming what it means to be “king of the court” for kageyama, kiyokos backstory, noyas backstory, kinoshitas contribution, TANAKA’S LEFTOOOO, etc etc etc. Also quick peek into a nekoma match for all the nekoma fans, and inarizaki is pack full of fan favs too, plus the hunger theme and kita’s monster speech is central to so many other themes in haikyuu!!
Amazing callback to the ending of Season 1. Speed was their weapon, but Oikawa figured it out and beat them. Those two knew how vulnerable that quick was when you know it's coming.
Season 3 is my favorite season by farrrr. Like Ange said, the stakes were so high and there was so much season 1 and 2 payoff. Seeing the 3rd years realize that they finally get to go to Nationals 😭 But the character development for both Kags and Hinata as volleyball players this season was so good tho. Ugh. I love this show.
One of the key goals of blocking is to limit the options of the spike and Tsukishima did exactly that. Even if you can't stop it or slow it down by touching it, you are there picking away at the offense.
If there was an episode to sum up Haikyuu, this would be it
Can you compare the OST of S4 with S1,2,3. would love to hear ur thoughts.
Please react to the " One piece unleashed " trailer made by the Strawhat V please

They knew it better than others."
- Tsukki
Season 1 finale against Seijoh, the same lines(This angle, this timing) were used by Hinata-Kageyama to get the final point to win the 3rd set but it was blocked by Seijoh blockers(It's was kendaichi if I'm right).
So, they knew it(speed) being a powerful weapon but not invincible..
Yaa right i see so many ppl miss this point this line what it signifies ....literal goosebumps
Greatest line in this show
I've literally never seen a reactor recognize this callback. None. Nor the end of the Seijoh match of season 2. If you've seen one, I'd like to know who. Cause seriously, watched 100s of episodes of Haikyuu reactions and nobody has gotten this callback. Always thought it was weird, since I got it the first time and it hit SO hard for me.
12:46 tsukki really went from "this is just a club" to THIS?!!!! what an arc 😭
Man that last dive was mental !!!
"So you better be there" is such and underrated Haikyuu line 5:42
Such a great moment. After all the “fighting” between the first years, a true moment of trust between Tsukki and Hinata after everything they’ve been through and what they learned together during the ball boy arc
I know! I love it so much! In the translation i've read it was "So please... BE THERE!" And i teared up hard. Tsukki went from mocking Hinata to trusting him to be there, from barely caring about a club to living the sports.
The TsukiHina friendship is canon even if Tsuki doesnt admit it
Agreed, but because of what he's actually saying in japanese. In a direct translation It's a lot closer to "So you better get it up" It's shows that Tsukki both knew Hinata was there and expected him to get the receive. Which also adds that much more to Hinata recognizing how good of a blocker Tsukki is because he realized all of it.

I'm so glad you watched this and fell in love with Karasuno, their rivals and friends along with us ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Carlie: Noya will get it!!!
Noya on the bench: 👀
Yep I love how all reactions just scream NOYA GET THE BALL when he’s on bench
I was over on the bench
idk why but Ange saying "I love the cliff's edge, it's my favorite cliff" cracked me tf up 😂😂
The fact that they showed kita's eye when the ball touched the line implying that he knew of the possibility of getting the twins quick received by karasuno and had he been on the court, he would've definitely caught that ball and they wouldn't have lost that match.
Yeah, also I never really understood why he was a sub rather than a starter. Maybe his stamina is low or something.
@@TheSilenthvokhe Is not offensively good, thats why he comes on whenever aran or ginjima are in the back row, and sub off when the rotation brings kita in the front row again.
@@vishnunair2963 Sure, but if you're playing a heavily offense focused team such as Karasuno I think that might be the wrong call to make.
@@TheSilenthvok but utilizing kita as a sub is the best way for inarizaki, because he is not effective when in the front row, so it doesnt make sense
7:15 "try gettin-" ... that trauma on Ange's face after seeing Inarizaki's libero 💀💀
Haha so true
Might be one of the highlights of this video for me 😂😂 love Akagi lol
The og freak quick duo blocking the twins freak quick is just poetic cinema
@@hoshicakes3 poetic cinema indeed 🔥
my fave season is definitely 3 overall, but season 4 writing takes the cake among all seasons. it's so poetic, and i love how the payoffs didn't come from the flashy attacks (which was what got hinata interested in volleyball at the beginning btw) but on his receives, jump starting his change as a volleyball player. and the final point being a block on an attack that mirrors the freak duo quick?? PEAK
Whenever I look at the comments section here, I am always proud and at the same time happy to reconfirm that ハイキュー is loved by many people overseas!
同意!胸熱で泣きそうです。
7:04 Stunning form 😂
9:09 Kags face after a setter dump is just 👌 like he’s saying to Atsumu “who’s the goody two shoes now?”
11:41 Carlie not thinking Suga was gonna make her cry and then she does is hilarious 😆
12:50 Carlie has got some next level Daichi senses man!
NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES I WATCHED IT I STILL GETS GOOSEBUMPS!!
CARLIE- Ukai needs to get paid ...
Ange- Carlie he doesn't need to be paid cuz ITS FOR FAMILY!!!!😂😂
This is my favourite episode of Haikyuu! Hinata's moment here gives me chills every time. The pay-off from the start of the season was so great and so unexpected, absolutely amazing writing!
12:38 Tsukki was serving, so Noya is not on the court. Many people don't realize this. 🤣 Noya only comes in for Tsukki or Hinata when they're receiving.
"Into the carpark chief" had me rolling 🤣
7:20 "Into the car park chief" is wildd 🤣
its so funny seeing every reactor hate inarizaki's libero, he's just doing his job 😂😂
@@RoaringTidewell she doesnt understand thing about sports anime from what i saw sooo
Yeah, Kageyama set was shit because he was rushing into position and to make a quick.
@@RoaringTide both were really hyped and missing the point.
@@acrabdevis Yep. That has been a recurring thing throughout their Haikyu!! reaction.
oh man what a great reaction. LOVING how much Carlie was popping off on her predictions!
It’s so funny how haikyuu shortly fools us into thinking the twins quick will work, because the characters appear😂
It’s usually a sign for a huge anime style attack!
12:53 in this game of Karasuno vs Inarizaki, the one who truly won was Carlie with her hunches 😂
12:52 CARLIE I AM IN TEARS LMAO
I watched this show with my friend after I had watched solo. During this rally my friend screamed so much he lost his voice for a couple days. :D
I can’t believe that I witnessed the day I finally finish haikyuu with y’all, makes a grown man cryyyy
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭💕💕💕💕💕💕
I always crying when Suga's said "I might just cry.." He knows and really proud of Hinata..
The added pressure and speed, the swelling music, ukai screaming at the boys to slow down, hinatas Moment is so well set up, you feel the pressure dissolving!
For writing and future purposes, season 4 is my favorite right nowv
The all round lesson we have learned from the quick, building since the first ep shows it’s not just a flashy move.
The speed is a curse sequence- absolutely top tier.
Love how the Minus Tempo was initially Kagayama and Hinata's thing , the twins took it from them, then Kagayama and Hinata took it back from them by the final block
Season 4 is my favorite season. This season made me cry the most.
my favourite season is definitely s4, it’s just what you say, the quality in this season’s writing is excellent, all the moments are amazing, the season is peak and although my favourite match is the one against seijoh in s2, i think this one against inarizaki is the best one, everyone is playing at their absolute best it’s amazing
The twin's quick moment, the timing of it and the music, everything together was TOP TIER!! Love u guys and love your reaction, you made my day 😭💜
Love your reacts guys! It’s been fun rewatching with you. I’ve been waiting for a new season of Haikyu but found out two movies are dropping soon to wrap up the show. Can’t wait to watch you guys react to that in the near future.
at the end there in the final block they were referencing the growth from the loss against aoba johsai. THE FULL CIRCLES NEVER END!
that OST at the end is an absolute masterpiece and its just the sped up verison of Above!!
Best ep
Watching Carlie getting so much hyped made me jump from my chair screaming as well!😂
12:45 I just love this moment from Carlie ❤😂😂
Genuinely one of your best reactions for sure, I'm gonna miss haikyuu reactions so much!!
Episodic tension so good they were cheering on the speed before the high toss. What a great season.
Fave Season for Intensity = Season 3
Fave Season for Writing = Season 4
Season 4 just has so much detail, poetry, and callbacks that whenever I rewatch it and focus on something different you just find out so much more deep stuff.
Carlie demonstrating the gift of prophecy with the predictions this episode ❤
The best match in Haikyuu period
for now
Season 4 is the best, with introduction of crazy characters and inarizakhi as a whole team was just so beautiful
not only one of the best episodes, but also one of the best reactions I have seen!
First season is definitely my #1 but it's for plot reasons. The ending was great and "Winners and Losers" is my favourite episode as well. Season 4 is my #2, animation, great opponents, character growth and payoff, it has it all.
S4 part 2 is peak haikyuu and the best part of it if you add the setup(part 1) then s3 is better since it's more condensed
Last block by Hinata and Kageyama is answering back how they lost seijoh before. What the miya twins did and say was exactly the same as what kagayama said.
“This position… this timing…. This angle”
Only h+t understood that moment and reacted
Genius writing❤ kudos to Furudate sensei
12:53 Carlie’s “I KNEW ITTTT” was so funny 🤣
30:26 Kageyama's set here wasn't good, he was on the ground because he was rushing, not because it was a good, epic set. The whole point of that scene was that everyone was rushing, until Hinata pullled everyone out of it
For me, the match against Shiratorizawa is still my favorite match of Haikyuu, but season 4 is definitely my favorite season. In that same regard, I like Ushiwaka more as an opponent and I like Atsumu more as a complete character.
The end of the match dialogue, " speed is not invincible, and they know it a little better than anyone else.
Guys if you love long crazy rallies you're gonna love the new movie Karasuno vs Nekoma, they have the longest and craziest rallies 😆😆
If you want a sport series with some nice writing and payoffs like this try Ao Ashi or Run With The Wind after you finish Blue Lock
I agree with Ao Ashi!
Run with the wind is soooo good❤but underrated 😢
Hajime no Ippo as well
The best sports anime imo even better than haikyuu for me
The reason why Ukai isn't getting paid is because he technically isn't the coach.
I never thought about it but ange brought up a great point of losing the stakes (somewhat) after seeing nekoma succeed and even if i personally dont feel that way because for me it only strengthens the hype because like there was no way they were going to lose against the first strong team they encounter at nationals after coming so long atleast thats what i thought in addition the nekoma plotline even without those two eps was always one of the most relevant thing of haikyuu from s1 so it has to happen so thats why it doesn't change much for me personally, its the same as why i think karasuno will win against them as well because the way its set up , karaasuno never winning agaisnt them, they overcoming their counters, kenma having a MOMENT himself to wish to play more or smth after losing, etc
And with all these being said ange point is still valid and makes sense.
the inarizaki game is one of my favorites because all of the characters are so good in it. haikyuu really has an amazing cast
Also quick peek into a nekoma match for all the nekoma fans, and inarizaki is pack full of fan favs too, plus the hunger theme and kita’s monster speech is central to so many other themes in haikyuu!!
im so curious if you guys would love blue lock since its the complete opposite of having ‘the power of friendship’
Amazing callback to the ending of Season 1. Speed was their weapon, but Oikawa figured it out and beat them. Those two knew how vulnerable that quick was when you know it's coming.
S4 is peak haikyuu indeed
Season 3 is my favorite season by farrrr. Like Ange said, the stakes were so high and there was so much season 1 and 2 payoff. Seeing the 3rd years realize that they finally get to go to Nationals 😭
But the character development for both Kags and Hinata as volleyball players this season was so good tho. Ugh. I love this show.
11:48 the original soundtrack was 🔥🔥
S4 > S3 > S2 > S1. Because haikyu only got better and better for every season. It never backed down. So it's simple as that 😊🙌
One of the key goals of blocking is to limit the options of the spike and Tsukishima did exactly that. Even if you can't stop it or slow it down by touching it, you are there picking away at the offense.
