These are loyal, family pack dedicated. They are beautiful, support them..do not cast them down as "bad" or "evil"

Nice documentary. The food sharing among wolves anyways makes sense as wild wolf researchers see this food sharing all the time with all pack members regardless of rank. I think more research with more dogs and the same sized bowl needs to be done. You could just have a timid youngster.
Now with the howling, that may be a bit off. Wolves howl for many different reasons, not just to keep contact with other pack members. For instance, when a wolf leaves the main group for a short time, wolves will also broadcast and howl to surrounding areas to make their number seem larger to other packs.

How is this experiment valid when the size of the bowls of food are different for the dogs and wolves

Agreed…my dogs share food…over 30 years of having them…the bowls are large so there’s plenty of room. Even dogs we rescued who’d starved at some pint in their lives.

They’ve been seen in the wild caring first for inured and elderly pack members. In the US scientists have proved most of notions we have about them are completely false. For one thing there is an alpha pair…not just a male. They also have friends, as we humans understand them I’ve seen this in the dogs we’ve had…we are so arrogant about so called human only behaviors. We forget we are also animals.
