Playing with 2 pivots is what Lavia-Caceido will do. And how many goals did Enzo score for Benfica before joining CFC (he could not score or create chances because he was playing too deep at Chelsea)? Pivot players break opposition attacks and not score goals but provide a defensive line. Learn something about football. In doing so, they release forward players to be more confident and can score - hence more goals. Even if CFC score fewer goals, it will be difficult for the opposition to score them if the two CDMs are playing well. @@KAH-

Enzo will create chances no doubt and get assists. Odd goals here and there but thatâs all thatâs coming from out midfield. The only way a midfield like that works is when the attack is on fire. We canât confidently say any of attackers will score 10+ goals.
You give me recent examples of how 2 defensive midfielders with no goals and assists and a no 8 in front them works.
City had Rodri only. And gundogan and KDB and the 8s who bring numbers
Arsenal had Partey with odegaard and xhaka both scoring and assisting.
Madrid had midfielder who could all score and assist.
The only exception to this of recent times is Liverpool and maybe PSG because of how good their attack was. Salah and mane scoring 20+ league goals. Theyâre exceptions. Not the rules.
I feel like everyone overlooks caicedos passing and dribbling just because hes known for tackling. Hes brilliant in all those categories. Caicedo ðŊ

Having both incredible tactical flexibility can play Caicedo in the 6 role alongside Enzo double pivot. Can play a 3 with Caicedo 6 and two 8 Lavia Enzo. Double 6 pivot Caicedo Lavia and Enzo in the 10 position. I wouldnt just yet play Lavia as a sole 6 along Enzo Caicedo is the better developed 6 Lavia may get there in a year or 2 he is only 19.

Claude Makelele defined the role then Kante was version 2.0 and was makelele but more mobile with better dribbling, caicedo is version 3.0 but he is Kante but with better passing. Chelsea are a very lucky club to have been blessed to have these 3

Chelsea fan here, been watching videos of Lavia after Liverpool hijacked Caicedo.
We seriously need an excellent defensive midfielder (6), but I've been seeing that Lavia is more of a deep-lying playmaker that can sometimes tackle. We already have Enzo as an 8. We seriously need a defence-minded player.
Lavia is an excellent player by many metrics but his defensive stats aren't as impressive as Caicedo.
What lavia had more tackles .. Arial battles Moises won ... And blocks .. but don't forget moises had spells and RB where your more likely to make blocks and have more to header

Lavia's body build, ball control, and ball passing velocity is better IMHO compared to Caicedo. Caicedo is indeed agressive in tackling and offensive. I would choos Lavia in the long term, and that is why Liverpool bid him three times. But perhaps due to the poor business deal from the Southampton side, Liverpool boards look at the case differently with Alexis and Caicedo both in the team could create direct impact. But honestly, more than twice the price of Lavia??? My goodness.

Lavia is a creative CDM, caicedo is an all round destroyer..i am thankful we have both of them. The same english media saying both of them are not creative are the same ones that think united have gotten the new david beckham in mount...both lavia and caicedo are far more creative than mount from deep
Looking at both, a pure out and out CDM, you have caceido because he seems better at getting the ball. But, lavia seems better at everything else, his passing, dribbling, get round plauers with ease and seems alotnfaster. Also, 115m for caceido is extortion! So for the price I'd have lavia. And one more thing, caceido was playing in a team fighting for top4/6 so it's easier to look better
