On the P&O Explorer in September cant wait - feel quite sad it will be the last of our amazing cruise holidays from NZ Wont be bothered flying to Oz to pic up a cruise....The sevice is fantastic - Sadly missed we dont like the big ships.
@Kiwibird1974 look forward to your posts. Just saw a Facebook post about a 2 month wait for NZ Passports, hope you have yours sorted if you need it for your Cruise.
If you can it'll be under, manage booking on the po cruise control website. Then select dining options. I've got an upcoming cruise myself on the Pacific encounter, but the option is greyed out. They might be adding the option at a later point. Sorry I can't be any better help at this time.
Seems there's a lot of pay for options, even the ice cream. And the included options are all very difficult to get into. I suspect P&O are stacking the odds to get more of their passenger's money.
When we went (August last year) we had to book on-board. For our upcoming cruise on the Encounter we have the option of booking on the P&O cruise control site, so have a look there. If not you will have to book on the ship.
so much nostalgia, i love cruising! feels like its been forever

400 Gradi is now P&O Trattoria, & Shell & Bones is no longer.
I have recently been onboard & have photos in P & O Frothies & Foodies
Brilliant video, thank you
You're welcome

Thanks! With bookings, can you book prior boarding? Can’t seem to find booking links for Angelo or Dragon Lady on Cruise control

@@shaunaobrien2698Thank you so much! Looking forward to our 80s Cruise from Auckland in September!
Can you book and go to dine at a Restuarant (included in your fair) and in case you still have appetite, then go to the buffet?
Yes, as long as the buffet is open
Thanks for the info. What is the diff between extra cost and cover cost may I ask?
It varies between which thing you are choosing.
Unfortunately the cost may have changed since I went on as well.
Very helpful

Yeah, most other lines have free self-serve ice cream.
The included options are nice if you can book them.
Ice cream is free in waterfront
That's true, if you're only after ice cream for dessert
And 1$ from each person aboard goes to charity aswell.
Never had a problem with booking eg Waterfront or the other specialty restaurants -
How do we book, can we only book once we board the cruise or can we book before

Any areas to grab snacks between meals?
The cafes have a few snacks, same with the bar's
not much free
To bad if you do not drink
Not much is included in your fare.
Yeah, it seemed that you had to pay for a bit more than you would on other lines like carnival
Pantry fairly ordinary. Desserts look better than they are. Shell and bones no more. Waterfront nicer. Angelo's and Dragon very limited menus.
Coffee overall, not great. Even paid for.
