Blade Runner 2049 is a piece of s#it. They just had to copy the music of the original film, which actually had a powerful significance to a very common scene for a character we don't care about.
I met Rutger Hauer when he stepped off my flight from LA to A'dam 26 Dec. 1990. He had a bunch of heavy cases to get from the luggage belt and no one to help him. Very soft spoken and kind. I wasn't sure if I should speak Dutch or English (my first language being American) so spoke both... and felt foolish! Lol. Had big fleshy hands, just as you see in B.R. Always felt privileged to have met him. RIP "Roy".

Remember seeing Blade Runner with about 5 people in a theatre back in 1982 summer in Portland. It hit me hard but too young to process all the meanings... His last soliloquy, uttering the words of his brief but brilliant life. Stretching out his arm to save Deckard. By saving Deckard, he honors his own life. And yes, perhaps even saving humanity from itself...

Probably one of the top 10 most memorable scenes ever to be caught on film. I'm Gen X so a little bias but it's gotta be like 10 top ever?? Greatest scene and most memorable are obviously different, but no one could ever deny what Rutger brought to the table. Probably one of the top 10 most memorable scenes ever to be caught on film. I'm Gen X so a little bias but it's gotta be like 10 top ever?? Greatest scene and most memorable are obviously different, but no one could ever deny what Rutger brought to the table. Blade Runner was just before it's time......Absolutely amazing cast and acting abilities! Lightning in a bottle.........
