    End-of-week H/H match recap:
    ...
    ~~~Today's action:
    Our champion easily wins his second game.
    Today's audience match question: "Shuffle _________ " (My thoughts: board, off to Buffalo, the deck)
    The celebs: Avery (Board), Brett (off to Buffalo), and Charles (Along).
    The choice: Board
    The answers: Along, Off to Buffalo, Board -- Once again, the celebs suggested all the answers and in the proper order!
    Last time our champion went with Richard, but didn't match. I have a feeling he's more likely than the average contestant to choose a different celeb the second time (he chose mostly different celebs for audience match suggestions today, for example), but Richard is still the most likely pick...
    He sticks with Richard. I went back to episode 666 and Richard matched 16 of those 41 attempts, which is 39.0%, or very close to his overall cumulative average.
    Today's H/H question: "Dean __________ "
    (Free money. Do I even have to say my answer? No, because it's glaringly obvious.)
    Richard begins writing before Gene finishes repeating the question. Watching him write, I'm pretty sure his answer is the same as mine: Martin. (Oops, I said it.)
    The champion confidently gives the predicted answer. No drama today...
    Richard scores his 174th H/H match.
    ~~~The head-to-head week in review:
    We got off to a rocky start with the contestant failing to match the audience on Monday, leaving only four H/H questions this time, with just two matches: Richard 2/4
    After four consecutive weeks in which at least two different panelists played the head-to-head, Richard once again dominated this week, playing every single time. (There was one stretch, from episode 574 all the way through 623, where Richard played every single head-to-head except for three!)
    Looking at the remainder of the panel, Brett retains her (slight) edge in accuracy over Richard for yet another week.
    Charles maintains his (roughly) 10-percentage-point lead over his two co-regulars.
    Joyce Bulifant finished her 18th (of 38) weeks still locked in that tie with Jo Anne Worley, but a 75% accuracy in the H/H (even if its only based on 4 attempts) isn't bad at all!
    Ethel Merman ended her second week without a shot at the H/H (I think the contestant considered choosing her in 729 though). She's played the game far better than the string of pretty one-week-only personalities that we've recently seen in the #4 chair, and I bet she would come up with a very decent head-to-head answer if chosen. Well, she still has three weeks to go, so there's hope.
    ~~~Looking ahead to next week, it's another "all-veteran" panel, plus, as an added bonus, all six celebs have had some H/H experience! (This may not be the first time, but it's rare.) Our three regulars will be joined by:
    -----Semi-regular Betty White, whose last appearance was three weeks ago. This is now her 37th week (of 75 total). Her cumulative success rate in the H/H is 51.4%, the highest of next week's panel.
    -----Dick Gautier, who returns for his fourth week (of 6). We last saw Dick back in 586-590, so it's been a while, but he's really an "old friend" who first appeared way back in 1973 on the show's fourth week! He's been chosen once time for the H/H, but didn't match.
    -----Mary Ann Mobley, who has also been away for a while, since 581-585, in fact. This will be her seventh week (of 10). She's been chosen 5 times for the H/H, and finally scored her first match back in 585. Time is running short for her to accumulate 3 matches and make it to the big leader board...
    ~~~Finally, here's our updated leader board showing the 11 celebs with at least 3 H/H matches, ranked by accuracy:
    (Note: An asterisk before a celebrity's name signifies that she has "retired" from the show and her H/H stats are now complete.)
    (Note: For tied scores, I consider the one with the greater number of matches to be higher; if the matches are equal, the celeb who first achieved that score goes on top.)
    Orson Bean - 100% (4 wins in 4 attempts).
    Gary Burghoff - 83.3% (5 wins in 6 attempts).
    TIE: (*)Jo Anne Worley - 75% (3 wins in 4 attempts).
    TIE: Joyce Bulifant - 75% (3 wins in 4 attempts).
    Fannie - 52.4% (11 wins in 21 attempts).
    Betty - 51.4% (18 wins in 35 attempts).
    Charles - 51.0% (27 wins in 53 attempts).
    Jo Ann Pflug - 44.4% (8 wins in 18 attempts).
    Brett - 41.4% (24 wins in 58 attempts).
    Richard - 40.9% (174 wins in 425 attempts).
    Bert Convy - 33.3% (5 wins in 15 attempts).
    *These stats include every head-to-head match from episode 1 through 730, excluding the lost/missing/damaged episodes: 31, 32, 33, 311, 312, 313, 324, 325, and 645. (As per MatchGameProductions, these episodes "are nowhere to be found and also aren't in the Goodson/Todman Library. Sadly, looks like they are lost forever!")

    "Two abreast," that's very clever Joyce! See she's not really as dumb as people make her out to be, her mind just works on a different level most of the time. A weird level, I'll admit, but she not stupid.

    Gotta be honest, if I were interested in going to school to study the bible, I would not think about looking for such a school in the LA area...lol. Kinda odd they moved from Texas so he could do that...that's like moving from Alabama to Montana to find a good Baptist church.

    Kind of a slow week althou almost everyone gave away some money but Richard managed to keep his title for another week giving away 10,500 dollars in head to head and audience match matches for the regulars. Brett won for the regulars with 12 matches and gave away 500 dollars in an audience match match. Avery won for the semi regulars with 10 matches and gave away 500 dollars in audience match match as well. Ethel also gave away 500 dollars in an audience match match.

    Here’s the results from this week:
    Richard won again giving away the most money at $10,500.
    Avery, Brett, and Ethel tied each giving away $500 and Charles and Joyce didn’t give away any.
    Brett and Charles also tied for the most matches at a total of 11. Then, Avery and Richard tied in second with 10 matches, then Ethel with 9 matches, and Joyce with 8. It was pretty close!
