- Death Stranding Director’s Cut has added lots of new content to the game including some new easter eggs and this one is a reference to Silent Hills P.T. Just enter your private room and you will get this Death Stranding Silent Hills PT easter egg randomly.
P.T. is a psychological horror game developed by Kojima Productions, under the pseudonym "7780s Studio", and published by Konami. It was directed and designed by Hideo Kojima, in collaboration with filmmaker Guillermo del Toro.

Every time I watch this scene, I don't understand why Kojima doesn't make horror games. He has the most genius talent for horror games. The moment Kojima makes a horror game, it will cause a huge revolution in the horror game world.

Just welcome back to foggy town, as it was xx years ago. that fear, despair (my first try endig was "very bad" ) and terrible "white noise" sound in Silent Hill is something you cannot forget whole life.

True but it makes you wonder why they'd bother putting a new easter egg in here for a game that's been officially dead for seven years. Granted this is Kojima we're talking about, but with all the recent rumors going around with P.T., this just stokes those old fires of speculation again.

Like how Norman sits there like it's no biggie! That Japanese supernatural horror is something else, you expect a thunderous entrance; it happens so fast it catches you off gaurd at just the right moment.
Pretty sure thats kojima doing the face for the nightmare bt again. He shows up in the beginning cutscene where he goes to pull igor down, and then again as a nightmare coming up from the floor in the private room grabbing Sam's ancles, and now I believe this one too

You can really tell Kojima and his team still want to make a horror game.
Hopefully Kojima + KojiPro + Junji Ito + Guillermo del Toro + Norman Reedus will work out one day and when it does it will basicly revolutionize horror games. No more overdone jumpscares and constant loud sound effects. Finally back to the Silent Hill 1, 2, 3 and Siren days.

This is not Silent Hill, this is Twin Peaks Season 3 Easter egg. There is a scene with a couple sitting in front of a big glass box, then suddenly a powerful evil entity called Judy breaks it and kills everyone.

If Kojima Productions ever make a Death Stranding II (and I REALLY HOPE SO!!) I wouldn't mind some of the BT encounters taking on a horror route like this or experimenting with different BTs that have similar effects.

Reminds me more of a moment from Twin Peaks Season 3, which Kojima made devs watch when making the game (He posted on Twitter years ago).
There's nothing specific to Silent Hills/PT here. If anything its more likely to be a nod to Kojima's next project, which he said is going to be a horror game.

I think Kojima should make the game PT was gonna be but under a different name and universe. It’s still the same vision as PT but just with different lore. That we Kojima gets his vision and we can experience the greatness that never was.
I'm sure this is his plan, game awards are in 9 days and Geoff states that there's a game premier that's been in the works for 2 and a half years. We can only pray he makes an appearance to premier his new games teaser like he did with death stranding.

I just wanted to add... I don't know about anyone else, but it really feels like Kojima dialed the horror elements up for the Director's Cut. I don't think these little scenes were as scary in the original. But I KNEW this PT Easter Egg was coming, I KNEW the Igor one was in the game, in fact seeing the screen shot of Igor made me smile. But when it happened in the game... I don't know, there was something about Igor's smile that made all my hairs stand on end and made me freeze. So much so that I forgot to take a screenshot. Meaning I'm now hoping it happens again so I can take my own snap.
Many new EX Grenades made after that. And of every variety. Even the one with blood in it.
KOJIMA SAN. Please make silent hill or any horror game. Your proclivity to having horror elements in your games is insane and it is magnificent.

I don’t think it’s so strange. I mean, there’s a big Half-Life Easter egg in the game too. But Kojima isn’t hinting at a new HL, he’s just having fun.
@@kuribojim3916 the half-life easter egg was added for a reason though. i believe it was implemented initially in the steam launch for the game as a nod to valve, as kojima also met with valve prior to death stranding. theres also a death stranding easter egg in half-life alyx afaik.
@@vevovevo6576 I mean, I think it's safe to assume that all Easter eggs are added "for a reason". They don't appear by accident, AFAIK. I guess the question is around understanding what the reason is. There might be some grander plan at play, but I tend to think that folks have a tendency to read too much into those things.
One thing I know about Kojima, is that we know nothing at all. But this Easter egg definitely does mean somethings gonna be in the works
