What a ride! I'm extremely happy to be a winner, but I'm also very proud of all vpilots that were very respectful towards fellow competitors and I didn't hear any words of complains this year. Despite the origin, skills an age we showed that we are grown ups and have same good spirit of diligence/competitiveness.
Moltar and Bear thank you so much for your hard work and preparing all this for the community!
Mover, Gonky, Deuce, Shanghai we also appreciates your time and effort!
In events like that we can somehow find connection between two far away worlds thanks to "bridge" called BFM.

for some reason this was kind of hard to watch today . Recently my Dad passed . He retired a SMGT with 38 1/2 yrs service Air Force and full time Air Guard as air craft maintenance foreman , they had A-10's at that time .Threw the years , I sat in a lot of airplanes when visiting him at work . He had the VFW honor guard , and air force honor guard at his service , and at the cemetery , just as the priest finished 2 f-16's flew overhead.I am proud of his service an grateful for his military send off .

I love following this channel! Love DCS content! Mad respect for the fighter pilots who have flown these jets in real life and can speak to their actually performance. Respect to those who fly in DCS as it’s definitely beyond a basic video game level. You guys are brave to put yourselves in front of a group of real fighter pilots and know there might be some criticism to how you fly and operate in DCS. I’m sure these pilots have been through similar moments in their initial training as fighter pilots. I’ve played DCS before and they would just laugh at me if I even tried to play because I can barely stay in controlled flight…. Lol but yeah, good work on making a good tournament!
Hello folks :-D its slide here :D hopefully I will get a better plane for BFM for next tournament so there will be less of boom and zoom :D Congrats B3 .... I was really relaxed at the finals because my goal was already achieved and the king is on his place. I came from Falcon BMS community to face other pilots here in this sim. I dreamed for all my life for an action like this with stream and commentary. But in falcon world, but after 10 years of waiting nothing like this happened so I am really glad that I had a chance to take part in here. Also respect for all my oponents, no single fight was an easy win. I am aware that luck was on my side in those headons, but I was not the first one ;-) :-D who forced them :D :p .... nothing else to say though. Looking forward to next tournament.
are you the F15 guy?when i saw the 15 i immediatly thought ''this guy is dead in the second merge'' but you proved me wrong...all your kills were AWESOME and because of that and the fact that i love this monster of a jet you were my favorite...i love F15s and Flankers...i hope the americans put thrust vectoring on F15 and continue to use them...awesome jets are those..love'em madly..

@@treypeters1087 it was not good flight model at that moment I flew the competition. Thatswhy I chose F15 to be able to beat F18 guys

Yeah...an F-16 really shouldn't be that slow at this point. C'mon, ED. That definitely needs a bit of tweaking. It's not the first time I've seen their Viper module under perform.
at 2:41:38 it brings back memory's - shanghai is talking about the T37 Gee onset., I flew the T-37 & T-38 only and the lack of G suit on the T-37 made the G's more more painful, ........ this was 35 years ago but I think the T-38 goes to 7 or 7.5 gees and the tweety bird to 6 gees. Luckily I am short 5' 8". Mover thanks for helping the flying community and your support for

Eagle guy. Can confirm the bathtub strategy that 'Mover' mentioned. Also I'm never one circling a hornet unless the merge is at like 35K (exaggerating but you get the idea :) ) . But hornets don't fly that high, so the 'slide' strategy of merging vertically >800 knots is also a thing. This usually only happens in a LFE and the hornets aren't expecting it at all and we got selected for red air.
do you feel the F-15C in DCS OK?its 2023 now and i like to fly it,but it feels wrong...i don't thing a jet that big can be so nimble...it feels better then the F16 and thats just wrong...still im loving it,but....

What Eagle Dynamics needs to do about the high G thing is to incorporate a G-fatigue like IL2 has. If a pilot in IL2 sustains high G for a while, they get tired and start blacking out sooner. The pilots in DCS may have G suits and such but still, there should be some fatigue build up.
The over protective mother (what I told mine when I enlisted in the army) should be told "it's better to be the hammer than the nail".
At 1:01:24 the host failed to realize that telemetry at the bottom is swapped, and they kept talking about the flight model issues because they didnt notice the information was wrong. Ofc course its still not 1:1 IRL, but at least this is the biggest error in this specific commentary.
I did an AI F-16 vs Tomcat last night and the AI went into the bozosphere as you say and totally hung it out in burners until he had no energy left. I think people are learning from the AI these bad behaviors, as the AI doesn't often seem to care to use gravity to gain rate or radius for pulling lead on a gun solution.

In my experience, callsigns are born from blood, buffoonery, bodily function, or some combination of the three. Callsigns generally only get worse, not better.
Mine changed, because blood and buffoonery trump lots of other factors.

It's pretty easy to land the Eagle with no wings in DCS, I did it my first try though it wasn't the prettiest
