I have been trying to apply this to a classical tune in 6/8 time! not easy! Funeral March for a Marionette for Halloween.. any other tips? thanks love your channel!
I like what you just did at the beginning of the video, but I would like to hear it, the same as it is, with jazz chords without changing the rhythm. Can You? Do you have the skills? I think you do. The change of rhythm damages the beauty of the piece. Pleas do it.
Hey 👋! No name calling, please! I've been a Classical Concert pianist most if my life, and I could swing jazz when I was 14..played with our great Band Director's jazz group which played at the Military bases nearby. Great fun...had no idea what I was doing until College. Just played by ear! Taught my college students this in Theory class later...it's what you're getting. A terrific college music theory lesson, applicable in any key. Have fun, everyone! And thank him!!

I’d like to not rely on common chord progressions but create my own? What are the rules for chord progressions in Jazz.

So fantastic and fun!!
Wonderful. Thank you for your generosity and enthusiasm.
I love this! I love the way you teach. Thank you!
Oh Jonny, this is terrific. Can you please play the whole piece in swing style? I'd like to learn it exactly the way you play it. Thanks.
Johnny, Can you add another segment showing the walking base you do in the intro?
Anticipating the classical to jazz!
Cool Stuff!
Great, tks Jonny … but i wonder if we can turn classical into jazz but still keep 3/4 instead of changing to 4/4?
i am curious as I am going back and forth between both, how did you start off? classical or jazz.

Fantàstic. I bet you that Beethoven would be very happy to listen IT.
He was deaf
Amazing stuff! :)
Would it be possible to do it as a jazz waltz also, leaving it in 3/4?
What keyboards do you use for your tutorials?
That was really cool gracias
Wonderful
hi Mr Jonny. Why is B diminuished chord and not Bminor on II grade? we are in Aminor melodic scale, not?
Next will be Summertime by Gershwin and by comparison it has a similar potential. How about that Jonny!
how would you turn from 3/4 to swing 4/4 chopin minute waltz waltz op 64 No 1 ?
What do I do with those wacky scherzos at 350 BPM?
amazing ...

THE WAY YOU TEACH WOULD NOT MAKE BEGINNERS WORRY, AND THAT'S A FACT
Uh yeah. Who wouldn't want to turn a late Beethoven piano sonata into a cabaret song ?!
I know how to count 1 n 2 n 3 n 4, but my left hand don’t …
Do the change without swinging the melody. Please do. I have the sound in my head, but not the technical skills, neither the music knowledge.
