    I thought the fender disclaimer was cheesy until the recording came on and told Frans to stop calling.. priceless. 😆😆😆🤘🏼✌🏼

    Your guitar matches very good with your bookshelf!

    Really enjoyed your video. I have a Arctic White Tele Ultra and love the guitar and its noiseless pickups sound pretty great to me. I’ll never be able to play to the level of the guitars capabilities, but I’ll continue to try.

    I own a Butterscotch Ultra. It sounds amazing. Single piece Ash body which you cant get anymore except from the custom shop. You ought to think about an S1 switch it changes the middle position from series to parallel a really cool kind of humbucker sound. The Gen 5 noiseless are arguably the best noiseless pickups on the market right now. The difference between your Tele and the Ultra will be many things, body contours, binding, contoured neck heel, compound radius neck, fancier finish and single piece or two piece body where your MiM is probably 3-5 pieces. The details like rolled fingerboard, vintage tint satin neck, real bone nut not synthetic, locking tuners and the bridge assembly. The Ultras really are top of the line modern build, how much those accoutrements matter will depend on the player. Personally I will never, ever sell my Ultra.

      Great suggestion to add an S1 switch, hadn't thought of that!
      Also, congrats on your Butterscotch Ultra, that's one gorgeous guitar!

    Hi Frans, I am curious if you are still happy with the pickups? I know people say noiseless are “lifeless” or don’t sound as warm or nice. What is your feeling now that you played both and had them for a while? Thanks. Also, you are very talented. Nice playing!

    Nice video. I just bought those exact pick-ups at Fuller's here in town. Gonna put them into a MIM Esquire. Like you, I like the neck and feel of the MIM and see no reason to buy an MIA. Are you happy with the pickups over the last few months.

    Cool upgrade!
    Does it sound louder and brighter than the original pickups?
    How about the 60 cycle hum during extreme overdrives?

    • @franssolo
      @franssolo  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      To my ear, through a clean amp it sounds clearer, with a touch more brightness yet still warm. When overdriven the hum is hugely reduced (almost gone) compared to the original pickups. This has become my go-to guitar!

    Great video, I have a Thinline telecaster classic vibe, and been thinking of installing some used Ultra pickups. How was the wiring process? Did you change the capacitor or potentiometer from original?
