This entire album (CD back then) what kept my sanity when I was working two jobs and attending university. This entire CD would play on my way to school, work, at home solving differential equation time domain, s-domain, Maxwell theory, etc. It gave me strength to be sleeping 4 hour a day and keep going for 7 years. Yes, my 4-year engineering degree took 7 years for me :D. Now that I am looking at this after 24 years; my life was like the video, all rubble, loneliness, searching, and mysterious. Thank you Enigma. I hope I still have that CD.
This is: sitting in a camping chair by a lake at 1:30AM, mid-1990's, sipping a beer and watching a full moon with scant clouds passing by with my lady, before the madness that came after. THAT is a core memory unlocked, thanks to seminal songs like this. Superb. Just - subliminal.
My Dad always played this song on his CD player when I was a kid and now I listen to this whenever I feel sad and want to go back in time to feel happy.
Brings a lot of memories back from 1990: leaving my first Navy duty station and being sent to the fleet to participate in Desert Shield/Desert Storm. I had this album on cassette and played the hell out of it. It kept me company as I traveled from Oregon to Yokosuka, Japan and then, a month later, from Japan to Bahrain (with a stop for a week at a small atoll called Diego Garcia, where I was about 10,000 miles from home). Lots of stress, but good music helps lower it.
This is beautiful! I used to play this song over and over (and over) in the '90s and never saw the video before today. Thanks to Ms. Britney for her knife dance and reminding me how awesome this song is!
Tracks like this aren’t my usual cup of tea but you can really appreciate the true art in this. You can feel it in your soul. A true piece of art from the musical aspect to the music video.
Why does this song feel like something you would stumble upon late at night at an underground club where everyone at this club is just standing around in a trance bobbing their heads to the beat of this song mesmerized
I've been searching for this song For more than 20 years. I couldn't take this song out of my mind. My uncle RAMZEEN used to play this song every morning. Nostalgic recollections.
My mom used to listen this from one of her burned cds in the car when I was a kid.... I haven't heard this for YEARS and now it's suddenly trending on social media?? The nostalgia is overwhelming....
I would be at the club in the 90s and it's getting late into the night and they would put this on and I was thinking "man what is this?" I loved the uniqueness of the music. It's Artistry.
this was on the charts - couldn't do something like that today with the bland homogenized shite we have now. 91 had a very diverse group of hits, at least in the uk, now it would be dj khaled type song, rudimental type song and some company groomed singer or group.
I found it!!....been searching for a while now. I was a small lad in the nineties walking round with Now 19 playing on my Walkman. Brings a tear to my eye man, proper nostalgia. The Internet has its uses ❤✌️🙏
Heard it back, as a child, in late 90s when it was global sensation and TV productions sampled the flute part. Flute absolutely captivated me as a child and ever since I have looked for it but only to fail. Discovered it again in 2020 i.e. two decades later and it was a serendipitous moment.

I've been looking for this song for 20 years. I remember hearing it as a child in the 90s. I heard it on the new Dahmer series and was so excited to finally know!
Me too! I went through all my vaporwave(ish) tracks and couldn't find it. Then I turned subtitles on in the first episode of dahmer then it told me haha
Tonight… I’m a man of action.
This song was used in many dances and performances. 94 Olympic Gold medalist Oksana used it and is still one of my favorite numbers.

In a planet of billions some people play music for us but only a few can speak directly to our souls.
Michael Cretu is one of them...
Lyrics
Procedamus in pace
In nomine Christi, Amen
(Let us go forth in peace
In the name of Christ, So be it)
Cum angelis et pueris,
fideles inveniamur
(We shall find the faithful in the
company of angels and children)
Attollite portas, principes, vestras
et elevamini, portae aeternales
et introibit rex gloriae
Qius est iste Rex glorie?
(Lift up ye heads o ye glorious gates,
and be ye lifted up ye everlasting doors,
and the king of glory shall come in.
Who is the king of glory?)
Sade, dis-moi,
Sade, donnes-moi
(Sade tell me
Sade give me)
Procedamus in pace
In nomine Christi, Amen
(Shall we proceed in peace
In the name of Christ, Amen)
Sade, dis-moi
Qu'est-ce que tu vas chercher?
le Bien par le Mal
la Vertu par le Vice
Sade, dis-moi, Pourquoi l'évangile do Mal?
Quelle est ta religion, Où sont tes fidèles?
Si tu es contre Dieu, tu es contre l'Homme
(Sade tell me
what is it that you seek?
The rightness of wrong
The virtue of vice
Sade tell me why the Gospel of evil ?
What is your religion? Where are your faithful?
If you are against God, you are against man)
Sade dit moi pourquoi le sang pour le plaisir ?
Le plaisir sans l'amour.
N'why a t'il plus de sentiment dans le culte de l'homme ?
(Sade tell me why blood for pleasure?
Pleasure without love?
Is there no longer any feeling in man's Faith?)
Sade, es-tu diabolique ou divin?
(Sade are you diabolical or divine?)
Sade, dis-moi
Hosanna
Sade, donnes-moi
Hosanna
Sade, dis-moi
Hosanna
Sade, donnes-moi

Admittedly one of my guilty pleasure songs. Was listening to this a few weeks back while driving through the Texas countryside on a perfectly clear and sunny afternoon and when the song started to climax (around the 3:45 part) I looked over and saw these two gorgeous horses galloping and playing in this green field. I don't what it was about that transcendent moment of kairos, but it really affected me emotionally.
What's there to feel guilty about?

This entire album (CD back then) what kept my sanity when I was working two jobs and attending university. This entire CD would play on my way to school, work, at home solving differential equation time domain, s-domain, Maxwell theory, etc. It gave me strength to be sleeping 4 hour a day and keep going for 7 years. Yes, my 4-year engineering degree took 7 years for me :D. Now that I am looking at this after 24 years; my life was like the video, all rubble, loneliness, searching, and mysterious.

That’s amazing man!
Same here . I was in the Navy back in 90 when this song was out . Had to buy the cassette tape

Why does this song feel like something you would stumble upon late at night at an underground club where everyone at this club is just standing around in a trance bobbing their heads to the beat of this song mesmerized

It's actually a pretty killer video for 1991.

this was on the charts - couldn't do something like that today with the bland homogenized shite we have now. 91 had a very diverse group of hits, at least in the uk, now it would be dj khaled type song, rudimental type song and some company groomed singer or group.
