Did I Almost Die For This? Nikon 14mm 2.8 Review - Abandoned house photography, waterfall, mountains

  • Just a quick review of the Nikon ED AF Nikkor 14mm f/2.8 D ultra wide angle lens. This is more of a photo walk around some old abandoned house and then up a mountain with a nice waterfall and some cliffs.
    Some sketchy photography goes down in the video (not recommend to do the same). If you like life and don't want to fall to your death taking a picture do not attempt the same foolishness I did. Near death experience may have happened.
    This video was shot in Fintry Provincial Park in British Columbia Canada. Fintry is about 30 minuets away from Kelowna BC where I live. All footage shot on a Sony Z-V1. Stills shot on a Sony a7R. Jacket by some awesome company called Rab which is close to Rob, so I'm down with that. ;)
    Native American photographer doing photographer things. Exploring Tlingit photowalk in the house.

    Great review. Loved the shots. Slightly anxious whilst watching you teeter on the brink and kept telling myself if the video is published you didn't die! Thank you for showing what 14mm can do!

    Loved the video Rob! Great shots throughout. Looks like a great wide angle lens! Loved that location as well with all of the abandoned buildings, great fun! Loved the shot of you dangling off the edge, but I'm gonna leave that to you young guys. I would have done it too at your age, but you had my anxiety up a bit watching you! Glad to sub back! Have a great week and stay safe!

    Looks like a great lens, I bet it's really good for astro photography too. Cool location - you're a braver man than me, sitting on the edge of the fence! 🤣

    • @RobMoses
      @RobMoses  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah it probably is good for astro photography, however I have never tried. I dunno why, but those kind of shots never really got me all that excited. I like them, I just don't feel the draw to make them. But ya that location is awesome for sure and about sitting on the fence. I didn't think I was going to do that till like 1 minute before I did it lol.

    I just bought this, but I already had the 14-24mm. Redundant I guess? But the 14 is lighter than the 14-24mm

    • @RobMoses
      @RobMoses  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Sadly I might agree with that. But if it’s lighter, then maybe you’ll be more inclined to use it than the other, which could make it worth having.
