I just got the Infant Optics DXR 8 PRO baby monitor, and it has a faulty charging port right out of the box. The connection is loose and has to be wiggled around constantly to try to get it to charge. Then I can't touch the monitor or turn it at all or else the connection to the charge port is lost. The whole reason we bought this baby monitor is to be able to use it to walk around the house without it being attached to the cord. Sadly, I have discovered that this problem is very common with this unit and many parents have posted this same complaint. Some work, but only for a week, or a couple months. This is very disappointing. I will be returning it and won't buy Infant Optics anymore.
what's the quality of the night vision like? i just recently bought the lollipop and the connection was so bad i need to switch to a non-wifi option. lollipop however allowed users to set it to night vision permanently. how sensitive is the night vision on the dxr-8 pro? my concern is that because of our room configuration, the camera will face the door and there is a bit of light that goes around the perimeter of the door when its shut and without being able to keep it on night vision permanently any hint of light will take it out of night vision. hope that makes and that you can help with this question. thank you!
I can't find any information on what size drill bit to use to make the pilot hole for the green wall brace thing that the screw actually screws into on the wall. Any advice on this issue?

Are you able to connect a DXR-8 camera to it? Or does it have to be another DXR-8 Pro camera?

Depends on if you're drilling into drywall or stud. 1/4" drill bit I would assume.
mine says on the screen: warning! out of signal coverage...what does this mean? I set up the camera, but could not get a picture on the screen.
try unplugging and plugging the power source to the camera while the monitor is turned on.
Is there a lag in sound from when baby cries to when you hear it on the monitor?
maybe a half second
