I truly enjoy hearing Stephen Merchant any time he speaks. Not only is he a great storyteller, but his brilliance in articulation and expansive vocabulary add to the experience.
hmm...it does but then i think it's sad really considering the possible circumstances of them falling out with each other. neither of the 3 mention each other, ricky brushes off answering questions about falling out. they don't plug each others things. ricky's revisionist history "when I created the office" rather than "When me and stephen merchant created the office" among other things. I long for the xfm days....
@@ISetYourFaceOnFire All rumours mate. In recent interviews, Ricky has specifically stated that they haven't fallen out and they just think that nothing they could do in the future will be as funny as what they've already done. I personally agree but it would still be funny enough.

Like I said before, most comedians have families and friends who are funny. The comedians are observant and have good memory. The real funny people are other people they know.
Tbh, if they were going on holiday to Greece, he definitely was well off. My first holiday, was when I was an adult. But the joke was having me laughing
If 'falling flat' is being in America's biggest TV show and having a big part in one of the best and biggest movies of last year (Logan), here's hoping I fall flat myself. I love all 3 (Ricky, Karl and Steve) but Ricky's fans shouldn't forget that Steve's input elevated everything Ricky did and the projects he's done without Steve all seemed to be missing something

Bullshit. He gave him those beers.
And gave him those tickets to the concert
That Stephen never even went too.
Karl kept that 50p to compensate for the last minute editing out of all the effin and geoffin on Steve's hip hop hurray cd
The fact that every comment here is related to the xfm days made me smile

I love the story about how his father only bought one life jacket when they were on a boat
Ryan Dutton I always get the impression that Steve embellishes a lot of his stories

Steve is much more naturally whitty. Ricky is a better and more versatile actor, which is good for tv/movies but also stand up.

Appearing in awful American comedies and doing a voice in Sherlock Gnomes. Mmmmmkay
What, trying to follow in Ricky Gervais' success in America and falling flat.. Yeah me too.
he should stick to voice acting, going solo was the worst decision he could have made!
He has a warped ego and air of self entitlement surrounding him though. Of course it was going to fail but he was inevitably going to try.
