what i think these types of christians who think everything in your life should be about your faith don't understand is that people don't get into activism out of boredom or a desire to fill a void in their life. they do it because there are problems that need to be fixed. my advocating for feminism, workers rights, racial equality, queer rights, etc isn't something i do because i'm bored and feel unfulfilled. i do it because i feel i have a moral obligation to fight for change that will materially benefit marginalized people. if i could snap my fingers and instantly create a utopia where i don't need to advocate for that stuff anymore i'd do it in a heartbeat. my life wouldn't become empty without causes to fight for, because i don't do that shit for personal fulfillment, i do it because it's necessary.
also i think the implication that picking up a new interest or activity to fill a void in your life is bad is just kinda bunk in general. like. that's normal, actually. its called having hobbies.

I once read a comment that said "religious people want to believe in an afterlife because they are afraid of dieing"
      And another person relied
"well you are wrong, I am not afraid of dieing and is specially because I believe in jesus"
.... Like, the irony of this hard core Christians goes over them so hard
      Like the classic
"the woke left aren't actually accepting and tolerant because they don't accept and tolerate my unacceptance and intolerance"

He makes appearances in almost any cultural artifact that mentions the invention of the atomic bomb. He's in a very famous Sting song. 19:16 so there’s a study that shows people who live in more densely populated cities have more tolerance of minorities. For example, just going to bar and having a drink by yourself while surrounded by people different than yourself (gender, race, sexuality, religion, etc.) makes you aware that they exist as real, ordinary people, so you are more tolerant of them.

I used to go to a fundamentalist Baptist church. I always brought my kids up to be strong and enjoy their individuality. I felt the space between myself and church getting wider and wider. My eldest daughter told me before she left she was queer. I took a few weeks to get my head around it because at first she identified as gay. However we were all good before she left, and she has a lovely partner now. I could not ask for more for my daughter. I feel blessed that she has found her soul mate. I was, of course asked to leave church if I continued to support her. So I left church and am now a member of a Church which accepts everyone ie gay, straight, queer, trans, black , white etc. My daughter comes home for holidays and we all trot along to new church which welcomes her with open arms. This is Christian love. I will love my kids and support and defend them against hateful idiots like this.

@mrjones2721 It is not. "Psychopathy" is no longer considered a legitimate psychological diagnosis or category. Most people with ASPD are not physically violent. It is important to remember that there are no monsters. Especially, there is no disease or illness that turns people into monsters. The truth is that anyone and everyone is capable of monstrous behavior because the capacity for that behavior is as fundamentally human as the capacity for benevolence. Words like "monster," "psychopath," and "sociopath" are just tools to dehumanize people who do terrible things in order to maintain the comfortable delusion that we could never do what they did. It is another remnant of puritanical thought in which sinners are fundamentally evil and different from the "good" people who burned the sinners alive. It's a trap, and believing it is exactly the kind of thing that makes us vulnerable to the kinds of rhetoric and propaganda that cause people to behave monstrously. @@MishaVargas There is some chemical science behind it, but estradiol (most common form of estrogen in pre-menopausal women and what is used in MtF HRT) is a lot more potent than testosterone is in the quantities that women usually have it in (trans or cis).
Some trans women don't even take T blockers if they are below "average" cis male levels for testosterone when starting HRT, because once that HRT is started and higher levels of estradiol are in the blood, testosterone gets processed into estrone (E1) and estradiol (E2) in fat tissues and adrenal glands.
One of the reasons why women generally look to have more testosterone in blood tests than actually effects them is because testosterone and other androgens are also building components for estrogen compounds, and having high levels of estradiol in the body partially suppresses androgen absorption (so it can be used to make more estrogens).

My mom found out after grandpa died that he was either a crossdresser or possibly a she stuck in the body of a he (will be refering to grandpa as them or as grandpa from here) because when she and her brother were cleaning out grandpa's house, they found women's clothes in grandpa's size as well as makeup that had mysteriously gone missing over the years when they were growing up. She started putting things together pretty quick from there. Grandpa was cruel to their wife and daughters, the sons didnt escape it, but they got off easy in comparison. Sometimes packages would arrive at the house (despite the family beingndirt poor because grandpa refused to let grandma work or even get a driver's license, and they had 9 kids to feed on grandpa's blue collar salary); they would be in grandma's name, so she would open them. The packages were women's clothes and shoes that were way too big for her. She would be standing there totally confused, and then grandpa would run in and beat her, and she never knew why. We think that the reason grandpa was so cruel to the women in the house was because grandpa wanted to be a woman, but because of the time period and because grandpa held a high (though unpaid) possition in the Mormon church, they couldn't and they resented grandma and their daughters for it; it was a bitter jealously and an internal hatred (both for the fact they were teapped in a man's body and because he was ashamed of himself for wanting to be a woman) Unfortunately, these experiences have turned my mom into a raging transphobe. I told her that the hate she spews is the exact type of hate that likely turned her father into a monster; that if the world had been more accepting, he might have been a happy woman instead of a violently angry man. Didnt budge her at all. Shes not even transphobic for religious reasons; she left the church decades ago, like back in the 80's.
