Religion, yes, but does that then stop you from asking yourself the question of what created the universe? Come at it objectively, it's a very interesting question to ponder. You don't need to even consider religions to ponder that question. Come at it from your own thought!

The Christian story doesn't sound like the actions of a moral and rational god, but a bad Hollywood screenplay written by someone on acid.
I think that is what TV series SUPERNATURAL tried to bring across in later seasons....quite successfully!

Half way through and wondering if he only attacks Christianity and Catholicism.
Probably because his audience will understand the jokes being told. All religions and all religious people do and say things that make mockery easier but Christianity believes some pretty crazy things and they make a lot of excuses for some pretty immoral things. So, making jokes out of those things is effortless.
They’re the best material for religious jokes, so maybe.
He also ridicules Islam. In a smart way. Not everyone realizes that. Precisely by stating that he is not joking about it, he makes the entire problem of Islam clear. In addition, his jokes about god are about every god, including Allah.
Still yet to see Jimmy engage serious Theological arguments. He kind of enjoys beating up straw men.
It's easy to make fun of a characature you have created. Harder to argue against the real thing.

@dorkception2012 the argument that Jesus did not exist does not appear until very recently in literature. And it is a position not held by any serious scholar.
We have good evidence. Evidence from the 4 gospel writers. Evidence from Roman historians Josephus and Tacitus. And the fact that we have proof of the Christian movement exploding from the Middle East speaking about a figure that was known to many people also points to his existence.
Massive movements surrounding a particular person do not explode into action without that person ever existing....
As I said. No serious examination of the evidence. No engagement with ACTUAL arguments. Just straw men.
I don't think I believe in the God that Jimmy Carr rejects. Because Jimmy Carr isn't attacking the God that serious theists believe in. He is attacking a characature.

It’s hardly a surprise that a Western comedian would talk about the most predominant religion in the West. Later in the video he says he’s a lapsed Catholic so it’s also unsurprising he mainly refers to Catholicism.
Let them have some sanity, I have answers for all pathetic questions. First off all, God the Father granted will-force for human hoping their judgement. But human sin instead of surrendering will-force. God took accountability of imparting will-force through DNA. So he showed, even if God himself namely Jesus must pay his work . So he limited himself with all sorts of earthly factors and that is why he took help from the Father. When Jesus sacrifice his will of living , his success in suffering offer the way of believing. Here Weakness of DNA. for being detached from God is the Sin and forgiveness is the believing of the process of surrender.
