Notation and practice-alongs for the original James Gadson 16th note groove, the “1e+, 2e+” version and the John Robinson live version are on my Buy Me a Coffee channel members’ page, here: www.buymeacoffee.com/mikebarnesdrums/gloria-gaynor-i-will-survive-drum-groove-notations-practice-alongs
Thank you, of all the various TH-camrs I watch, your lesson for this song has been the most helpful. I used the 16th feel (instead of 1, E &) last night at rehearsal and it sounded relaxed easier for me to play and my hi-hat openings were smoother. Thank you for freely giving your teaching time, you’re my go to online teacher, cheers Doug.

Thanks for watching. I really enjoy playing this stuff, the fun for me is in getting the beat to "sit" and feel just right. it's all about the groove - not about busyness, speed etc. Cheers
Disco songs are fun and upbeat and people are having the time of their lives on the dance floor. If you're not into it that's cool, but for fans of the genre, there is no boredom whatsoever.

The hardest part of this drum beat is not falling asleep during it.
