    Envy Core sounds like a wonderful new entry model. Would be great to see an online demo of 4k HDR high frame rate, multi-aspect videos that are more difficult to render “smoothly/accurately”… with an Envy Core, Pro, Extreme side by side comparison. This might help with model selection. Thanks, Scott.

    Great review...Question. Appears most of the benefits are for higher end front projection. BUT what about a 16:9 Sony LED 98 inch? Does the core offer any improvements in the motion department or is that only with MotionAI on the Extreme? Also, how about Dolby Vision support?

    • @AudioAdvice
      @AudioAdvice  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      There are some. On Dolby Vision, it is far better than Dolby Vision. DV is great for people who do not have an Envy, since it allows the TV to do a good job with tone mapping - something that just about all TVs tend to struggle with otherwise. DV works by sending meta data that tells the TV how to tone map. The Envy does not use or need that meta data - instead it looks at every single pixel of every single frame and does a frame by frame tone map (rather than a per-scene tone map like is typically done with DV). This means that when someone uses an Envy, instead of getting DV you are able to get the HDR10 base layer which is all the Envy needs, and generate render it's own proprietary tone mapping. T

    I train companies on marketing and sales, and I find it puzzling that some still rely on “dealers” to sell their products. Many customers now prefer purchasing directly from manufacturers or visiting a store to walk out with the equipment in hand. The simple experience of unboxing a product is invaluable, and fast options like next-day delivery are becoming essential.

    I am still on the fence on this, but much more curious now. However, I am still confused on exactly how it works. So this goes inbetween my processor and projector? So I would connect this to the HDMI out on my processor to the in on this and then the out to my projector? Then, it processes the image from whatever connected device is hitting the processor, Shield, Fire TV, PS5, XBSX, etc. Then it processes that image and sends to my projector, which also does video processing that I need to turn off? Which I don't see where on my Epson 6050. Speaking of, how does that work for 4K 120 gaming. Would I still need to update my projector, or would my devices sense the MadVR as a 4K 120 device? Thanks,

    • @AudioAdvice
      @AudioAdvice  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      You are correct, it goes in between your processor and projector. You do not need to turn off your projector processing. Since the Envy is so processing intensive, it has too much lag for gaming. You need an AVR with two video outs. You run your gaming console to the AVR and out to the Envy bypass input from the 2nd video out on your AVR or processor. Hope this helps
