51:32 I don’t believe “double adapt” is a thing? The wording on adapt says it only puts +1/+1 counters on a creature if there are no +1/+1 counters on it already. Implying that even if you adapted a second time while the first was on the stack, the original trigger would just fizzle once it saw the counters that had already been applied? Haven’t played many adapt cards before, so definitely could be wrong here. That’s just how I’m reading it.
He meant adapt, get the emperor already exiled by the one on the field back, go to combat, exile the linebreaker with the second emperor, and then adapt that second emperor as well to get the linebreaker back.

We're moving in a direction where people can find a card that is specifically fitted to their personal strategy or creative expression and it will be stronger or give more options than the equivalent eternal staple. That's not entirely a bad thing. If 10 different archetypes have their own individual Murder but with archetype specific upside that's got to be better for the game than all 10 being forced to play Murder in the same slot, right?
Man, this video aged like fine milk. Seeing 2 scurry, chris, wanguard and the big eldrazis and concluding "I should play mono black" :D I know it is easy now, but it is still funny to look at this with what we know today. :D
Why is shadow of the second sun bad? It untaps all your lands after you cast it (and every subsequent turn) and draws you an extra card per turn! On top of activating upkeep triggers twice a turn. Seems alright to me!
agree i saw people playing it earlier in drafts on twitch and it seemed really good, when i first read it I thought it was going to be bad too, but after seeing it played I think I changed my mind on it.
I know. You don't even have to invest mana or a card and you still can add to the board or leave up spells during your opponents turn. The card is nuts in limited. Paul got it wrong too the first time he read it. I had to read it three times to realize what it actually does. It is certainly confusing the first time you read it.
Seems like a solid set so far. From the previews it looked nutty for sure but I feel like after watching gameplay I’m not actually like “omg this is busted”. Just like yeah those are good cards I’ll probably use 😂
That chrysalis is not only good but it might be the best common of the set. I've seen some eldrazi drafts and that thing grows to a 8/9 quickly. Great synergy piece and amazing in multiples too.
