- The Philadelphia Eagles defeated the New England Patriots, 25-20, to open the 2023 NFL season in Foxborough.
CB Darius Slay had the first Eagles touchdown of the season off a pick six from Patriots QB Mac Jones. QB Jalen Hurts and WR DeVonta Smith got the offense on the board next, but the game was a battle until the very end, coming down to the final plays.

1.I called a sloppy game, week 1 is always unpredictable
2.We have to establish the run game(Swift needs Carries)
3.Jalen Carter and Sidney brown need to start sooner than later

These points exactly and alot less qb draws. Constantly trying to bull doze your franchise qb into head on collisions is going to cost us. His legs should be a sneak attack when the defense is playing for the pass, not an expected playcall that they're prepared for. That's college level football. No more trickery and more complex pressure applied on their side of the ball

We were very fortunate to win this game our defense bailed us out the offense looked shaky, and for the first time Jalen played scared Swift needs more touches, and Jalen had to read the field better which I'm confident he will it is just game 1 on the road against a well coached Patriots defense but I'm happy with the win!!

@diggydub5720 He looked shaky yesterday he barely took any deep shots or stood tall to make any real throws cause Goddert was open multiple times for big completions and Jalen missed him, he played hurried but that's cause the Patriots defense was all over him which any smart person knows when you going against the Patriots you gotta attack them and show them something they ain't seen before you can tell their defense was hella prepared for everything we were tryna do offensively but what we should've done is ran some short quick passes to get the ball outta Jalen hands fast like they did to us we got AJ Brown, Devonta, Swift, Goddert but I still liked what I saw overall and it is just week 1 I'm sure we will look better at home Thursday night against the Vikings!!

At some point the Patriots D decided not to cover Goedert because they knew Hurts wasn't looking his way... the 4th down to seal the game was so wide open, everyone in this comment section could've caught it.

this was on the OC and Hurts. Hurts has more control of the offense now so he has to read the defense better. he has to do audibles, route changes, line adjustments. OC not using swift much, need more TE touches
Hurts was fine. This was the offensive coordinator not being good. This is what an average NFL offense looks like.

Fun fact.. I used to play with Watkins and was actually probably better than him growing up but I made bad decisions in HS and he made good decisions which led to him playing through highschool and me not playing all the way through highschool.. I had the talent and heart to be out there with them but my bad decisions got the better of me and you don't get any second chances.. if your good at football and this is your dream don't ever give up on it and keep your grades up and stay in school.. that's the important part playing the game is the easy part.. but keeping on top of your grades not partying when everyone else around you is and actually going to school every day is the hard part.. if you can do that and your talented there's nothing to stop you from succeeding and making your dreams reality

I think it's nuts that recievers don't wear gloves. Gloves dramatically make it easier to catch the ball you'd think the coaches would make them wear them. Why would you NOT wear gloves as a wide reciever?
