This was an awesome interview. I think Cholly rock did an outstanding job with exceptional information. He really articulates in away that’s informative and intriguing! Great work guys! Not sure why this interview was not released in its entirety sooner

These are the types of interviews we need. It's obvious to me now listening to different people that there were things happening in different areas and they all start coming together in the late 70s and early 80s. It truly was an evolution, but not a clear liniar one. Thete are things happening parallel to each other and each has their iwn evolutionary story. We have to always keep in mind that none of this was planned. No one had any plan for the future. We were just living in the moment and taking it one day at a time. So now to look back and try putting these pieces together is difficult. Everyone has pieces of the puzzle.

10:17 Byron Romero and Cholly go to a Kool Herc party in 1973. Romero is a Hispanic surname. Cholly claims Byron was Black, but what about the last name? How did he get it and where is Byron Romero today?
12:45 Cholly claims he saw spinning on the floor in 1974. Cholly has to be specific. What kind of spinning on the floor did he see? Backspin? Windmill or jjst kids twirling on the floor?
26:50 Cholly claims a member named Melendez was part of the 11 Zulu Kings. Another Hispanic surname.
39:40 So, we have a Tex DJ Hollywood (David Santiago) and Ed Larock (Edwin Soto) who was Africa Islam's partner. How can we hear more stories of Ed Larock? What was he playing? What breaks did he use? Was he from the South Bronx? Is there a picture of Ed? Where is his family and can they back us up with stories about Ed during an interview?
    Excellent interview, by the way.
    Thank you.

(Notes) I just remembered that during another interview conducted with Cholly Rock in "The Culture Since '71", he claims that the first time he saw Kool Herc was in 1975.
I will try to find it on TH-cam because Cholly's story isn't matching; plus there are other accounts reporting how none of the early Breakers had ever touched the floor. Perhaps a pindrop, but I highly doubt it was a backspin or windmill.

@WilliamGainesSr NEVER in my life, have I claimed to be anything, other than what I am, my Hispanic brother. You must hate having a Spanish surname, as opposed to an English overseer surname.
