Dale, remember what is right for one, is not right for another. You have to follow your own path and its challenges. Going home to be with your family was the right thing for them, and guilt is used as a weapon to make others conform. You say that you had a relationship beginning over there, and then this happened. You made the wrong decision for you I can see, and being stuck for a month to think was your punishment. My wife is a clinical psychologist and tells me so. Going home would not have saved his life, you need to do what is in your heart. Maybe fly home and a short stay would have been the better choice. This whole ordeal has been your lesson Dale... learn from it mate. You are not the first one to be stranded in a time of need, nor will you be the last, follow your heart, your dream, remember when someone dies, they want your to dance after they go, not cry. Good luck mate.... and remember that girl, go get her, as she is your next chapter of the camp man adventures.... stay well.
