    This is an amazing video in which Dr Anurag Bajpai has given the essence of evaluating short stature with growth charts in 15 minutes . For the sake of accepted procedure WHO-IAP charts will have to be used in place of CDP charts for Indian Children . Revised IAP charts were released in 2015 same period as this video . A huge churn and renewed interest has taken place among Pediatricians in view of the new IAP charts and I am sure a revised video is in the making . Hope to catch up with the remainder of your videos . Thank You for sharing your expertise and experience.

    Excellent presentation sir! How delayed is the bone age when we compare between nutritional causes and endocrine causes of short stature?

    • @AnuragBajpaiPediatricEndo
      @AnuragBajpaiPediatricEndo  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is no hard and fast rule. Generally the bone age is significantly lower than height age in endocrine cause and equivalent to that in nutritional. In our study BMI SDS below -1 suggests a nutritional and not endocrine cause. A height SDS of bone age below -2 suggests endocrine cause over CDGP.

    Hi , I am not a doctor and I basically here because I am short stature 150cms and my son who is 12 years old is 141cms . I find many studies use charts and dismiss me and my son height at genetic . But I see a pattern where I grew tall only upto age 12 and I am the same height now and my son has also not gained height in the past year. Most aspects of this study assumes that the parents height was obtained with best of nutrition and no issues with thyroid or growth hormone deficiency. Surely that is wrong assumption. Why is that never considered by pediatricians?

      Needs to be coroborated with bone age and puberty to decide remaining potential
