    Absolutely kickass guitar shredding! And awesome Tone. I have the Tone Zone/Air Norton set too in a Strat and a Tone Zone/Virtual P90 in my Yamaha Pacifica and they totally rock. All my other axes have the Norton/Air Norton set which is amazing, real Michael Schenker sort of tone.

    Thanks! Well. I use a Roland VG-99 effect processor. You can hear this on this record.
    And nothing else... This processor is very versatile. I love it!

    Well, this wiring is so unusual:
    Pickup selector:
    1-bridge pu
    2-bridge pu + neck pu
    3-neck pu
    4-neck pu + middle pu
    5-middle pu
    So, When I switch to middle (3) this is the neck...
    You're right, the Tone Zone is in the bridge, and the Air Norton is in neck! ;)

    You're quite the badass man, I truly dig your stuff. That said, I might have to borrow a soloing idea or two from you. Either way, my next axe WILL have a tone zone, for sure. Dave Murray for life brother !

    Well, it's a Roland GK-3 hexapickup. This stuff works very well with my Roland VG-99 processor. (guitar type simulation, alternate tuning, midi, stb...)

    Sounds great, that's the pickup set I have in my guitar now. I'm having a hard time getting the Air Norton to sound good lke this though. Need a real tube amp I think.

    Hi! Let's try it! I don't know the custom 78 PU. The sign of the Tone zone is absolutely strong. The TZ is fantastic to the bridge! Maybe your choice should be good.

      Hi! Thank U very much!
      I use Roland VG-99 effect processor. The wah, and all effects comes from this unit. I love it! ;)

      I will have to look into that. It is a preamp?
      Thanks

      Hi! This unit is a preamp, effect processor, midi interface, and soundcard. All in one... ;)

    • @hoosierdaddy2308
      @hoosierdaddy2308 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      May I ask what type of Preamp / effects processor? Love the wah!

    • @majesz16
      @majesz16  10 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Oh, sorry! As I wrote underneath, it's a Roland VG-99 processor. Just put the USB to the PC, and U have a pro soundcard with all guitareffects what U need. I use this unit in every situation. (live performance, studio, etc...) The wah comes from this unit also. ;)

    my god, that was surprisingly inspirational and got me drooling to buy a cheap SX guitar and load it with those pickups instead of paying a lot more for a better guitar. Are the SX strat necks thin? Any rough edges on the frets or anything?

    OH! very versatile guitare and nice playing!
    i get a seymour duncan custom 78 from a friend and listening to your guitar i want the tone zone or mo joe which is his little brother.
    Do you think tone zone very loud? Do you think i can put the custom 78 in neck and the zone on bridge?

  • @tonezone1365
    @tonezone1365 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    got to do HSH on a custom mahog strat now. Nice work.
    Like to use the extra Roland pup - does it connect to a regular Blackstar (core 20 ) guitar amp or do you need the Roland processor ?

      tonezone Hi! If you want to use the GK-3 do you need a device what can handle it. A sort of Roland GR, or VG, or other products...

      Lolo liuo Uhhh.... I can't remember the correct wiring exactly, but you can check this on DiMarzio website. There's so much pup wiring diagram, and I'm sure you can find your configuration.
