If you had to choose, out of the Hyundai and the Lawn Master shredders, which one would you recommend? PS: Does the Hyundai fold away in the collection bin like this one?
thanks so much for these videos. We're going to be cutting a lot of green material, sunflower and corn stocks, and we need a shredder for leaves. Not so much with the thick branches. Which shredder would you recommend for that?
Hi, thanks so much for your positive feedback. I found that these shredders do not mulch the green material well, due to the way it cuts/blade. You may be better off looking at a dedicated leave mulcher although, their are not many non commercial models available. Thanks again.
Much of the green material will go through uncut. With the fresh cut conifers, you will need to ensure the cutting wheel is tight against the plate as although it will be cut, it may still be joined by small threads of the branch.
I have a similar machine for the first shred, and then they go into the first Alko shredder I had some 50 years ago, one with the spinning blades for a final chop. A better product doing it that way, although I store the chippings for the following year.
Unconventional question... but Would a shredder like this be suitable for light plastics? Im looking for something to shred plastic drinks bottles before recycling.
Hi, I have no idea if this would work, but think this type of blade would not cut the plastic completely. Sometimes if the blade is not adjusted correctly, even the branch is processed joined up by the bark.
Thank you for the very helpful review!
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for the feedback.

Hi, mine was in the small clear bag with the other screws. I'm sure if you contact LawnMaster they will send one out to you. Thanks
Is this shredder good for fibrous material like sunflower and broad bean stocks? And conifers freshly cut?

It looks terrible as you have to load that debris so little, how long it takes? The intake should be wider

Doesn’t seem very quiet to me.
Yes the mic I used did make it sound louder than it was. You are looking at around 85dB(A) at the user level.
