Been practicing this on my street trials, but also, want to do this on my MTB and Moto Trials. Any different techniques for front hop with front suspension?
It’s mostly the same - I would recommend pivoting up just a little bit steeper on the front wheel to balance out the suspension and give yourself a little extra time in the air. Other than that, you should be good to go!
I kinda learned the pivot... ups? But with standing at at least one wheel all the time. And was thinkin of trying to get off something almost the same way but by getting both wheel off the ground. But still can't get to back wheel by pedal... 8-( And can't do fakie as well. Well - not more then meter or two.
@@SuperRiderTV I've tryed what you show in this video literally the first day and I really like where I got. But I got the idea of a front pivot years ago. I guess I do everything right. But! From you video I didn't remember the important part - when to pull the front wheel. It's about the time the rear one gone over the peak of a height.
I'd say it's easier one side (well, judging by "ordinary" pivots) - the side of main foot. But now I can do them almost the same degree - about 170 I'd say. It just feels different and sometimes my back foot slips if I pivot to that direction and giving extra thouth to that.
I can somehow do this trick but from time to time I fail. Sometimes I drop with both wheels at the same time, and other times I can't pull off the front at all: So scary. Practice makes perfect. Right ?
Practice makes progress! I find that if I pivot a little bit higher onto the front wheel, the lift is a bit easier than if I’m weighted back. Maybe test that out?
Thanks!! You’ll get it eventually, especially if you’re focused on the basic moves that build into this. Thanks for the follow on Twitch, too - hope to see you there soon!
If you wanted to get a trials specific bike, I'd suggest a 20" or 24" bike (I'm riding an Inspired Fourplay in this video). For MTB, medium would likely work. I'm 5'11" and I'm right on the line between medium/large.

Fantastic! That front wheel hop has driven me crazy - need to really work on that. Can’t wait to start practicing. 🤙

The best explanations ever!!! I am day dreaming now....
Thanks!! 🙌
Great video Aaron, exactly what I needed! Thanks!
Right on, thanks!! Glad it was helpful!
Great tutorial!
Thank you!

Pivot ups are great - I haven’t done a tutorial on those yet, but thinking maybe I should! For everything else…well….you’ve found the right channel! 🙌

That’s awesome!! Practice makes progress, sounds like you’re progressing fast!
Do you always drop towards your forward foot? Or is it irrelevant to the technique?
Almost always, because I’m using my back foot to push the rear triangle of the bike off the drop.
@@SuperRiderTV Oh okay, that makes sense! Thanks
Have fun!

Nice Video, but the frontwheel hop is very difficult. This could be enought for a own video
It definitely is worthy of its own video - I’m working on one now. Thanks for the suggestion!

I'm 5'6" tall. What size trials bike would be a good size? Medium? You're riding a chameleon I think, right?
