I never ever target steelhead on beds, or ones I can see, I believe in leaving them alone to do their thing. I float fish or bottom bounce spawn bags, or beads, and I never take a net with me, I just beach them, or pull them up to me and pop the hook out. My net was always getting caught up in the brush and trees, and I honestly can’t remember losing a fish because I didn’t have a net with me.

It was fairly obvious that hen was a drop back with the skinny sucked in belly, they turn back to silver shortly after spawning, and they are often very willing biters when you find them.
