SUPER important note for anyone setting this up: make sure to print in BLUE MODE for pro tools users so your stems actually line up with each other 😅 (ctrl+cmd click where it says “cmp” at the bottom of each print track - it’s in the delay compensation portion of the mixer window) amazing tip man, been doing something similar but never thought about grouping / linking the plugins thru separate auxes. brilliant !!
@@panorama_masteringI’d love one for logic as well!! Doing production music mostly and exporting all stems for one album takes me at least one work day…
@EdThorn Hi Ed , we can't set up "follow globals" (Simultaneous changes to grouped insert effects) in logic, any workaround for this? Thanks in advance, love the content!
@@panorama_mastering you must have dedicate effects for each stem, so there’s no bleed between them (for example, if guitars and piano are sharing a reverb but on separate stems). Not a big deal but just needed to adjust that in my head. Thanks!
Thank you for your excellent videos and the time you take to help us. .Re: Printing . Lets say you have 1) Drum, 2) Bass and 3) Instruments. Which have individual FX buss sends le Reverb Delay etc. How do you handle FX busses??? Do you print Drum, Bass and Instruments - Dry individually , and three wet FX Buss or combine FX into one printable track. How when and why do you decide to combine or split FX busses wrt their corresponding dry track???
This is amazing! I read through the documentation you referenced and that was a killer read. Curious though, what does the “AA” stand for at the beginning of each stem?
Cool process! How do you deal with reverbs and delays? Especially ones that I shared in-between tracks? It’ll have a bit of bleed if sending to multiples auxes. Or you need a totally different workflow when no effects are shared in-between tracks.
useful vid as always! I was wondering what that book is you sometimes mention, i remember you talking about it briefly in a few videos but i couldnt remember which ones. Also any other book recommendations would be great as well. Love the vids!
Even so, will it sum accurately to the original mix? I've mix for several ableton producers, and it's never as simple as that to export accurate production stems.
Well, i would have to do some testing, but i didnt noticed any obvious difference from the final mix versus the stems. Thats why i didn't quite understand why i should do the process you are showing in the video 🤔
I really want to know if he's a high tech laser printer guy, or on that old style warm tone dot matrix analog. Resolution is nice but ink saturation has a certain vibe.
Mate this is revolutionary sh*t, thanks a bunch! Also , did you make an update to this vid (th-cam.com/video/3l_Qs0iI0E8/w-d-xo.html) about the exact deliverable FILE TYPES by any chance? (For Mastering) Thanks again! 😀
I'd love to know if you have anyone buy that template. Most producers I know hate Pro Tools with a venom. I do agree it's very powerful, and you have to use it if you are working in the industry. 😀

No worries; my pleasure!
trying to recreate this in cubase
DUDE! You're THE guy on TH-cam atm! A gold mine of quality info! Do you have a Logic template for this too?
Check your inbox ;)

The ozone and some plugin dont have the SC key input, How do you set it up so they processed from the same 'mix' bus?
Wouldn’t the limitation with this workflow be that you aren’t including your time-based parallel effects in the stem prints?
These route through to the busses too. Everything sums.

FX go into their parent bus;
Drum reverb into the pDrums
Bass reverb into the pBass
Don't seperate;

No worries; the AA is just a placeholder for the artist name/acronym
Got it! Thanks

Reverbs and delays get sent to their parent instrument stem;
I don't share reverbs and delays in my mixing workflow;

can’t believe i never thought of this. this guy is full of good ideas !
Could you explain a little about the point of the sidechain into the mono signal of the mix on the auxes? (Mix.L)
Keep at it mate. Your my new no1
Thanks, will do!
You be uploading heaps lately, nice one
More to come! later in the week!
Im ableton i can just "Export individual tracks" 🤔
Even so, will it sum accurately to the original mix?
I've mix for several ableton producers, and it's never as simple as that to export accurate production stems.
It is important to distinguish the difference between what you are describing and what is demonstrated in this video.

@@panorama_mastering you can do render selected tracks and choose include master effects.. still not as effective. but gets the works done
He's printing a lot of audio, better stock up in ink cartridges!
My screen ran out of ink

Over 200 people have bought the template since it was released !
My assistant Ethan has a Logic one he's set-up I'm currently road testing to release.
@@panorama_masteringCan you let us know if and when the Logic Template becomes available? Thank you for everything that you do.
