    I love your videos, Adam and Jane, part of living in the Philippines is the adventure of seeking out what nature has to offer and how to enjoy it. the greenery and landscape were sculptured by nature, no watering is required, nature will do it for you while you watch and enjoy the sound of the rain's rhythmic pitter-patter.

    Yes, I can confirm that this is a very beautiful place. I've been there a few times with my ex's family and we had picnic on a raft while crossing the lake. I once tried walking around the lake with the guys only, but we got stuck when we hit on a ravine and had to turn back. Advice for those who want to walk in the rain forest around Lake Danao: wear trousers (not shorts) and socks so you can stick your trousers into your socks to protect your legs agains all creatures big and small. 😉

    We went to Lake Danao on my first visit to Tacloban City in 2019. Now that I live here permanently I want to visit it more often. I would also like to swim in the lake. I miss swimming in fresh water lakes and rivers in the U.S. BTW, if you want an enjoyable place to visit, try Tomalistis. We swam off the raft in 2019. I'm not sure if they have recovered from the typhoons. Here we have two seasons: wet and wetter! I call it wet and wetter weather.

    A small boat with its own small engine in the Philippines only cost $300 or P15000. Should you decide to buy, you will always have free fish, plus you give a FISHERMAN or 2, a source of livelihood. Hope you give this serious thought.

    This is what I hate about the Philippines: entrance fees on all public tourist park destinations. A better way to generate more money is to give permit to business establishments. Like here in Europe. Those floating cottages are more of an eye sore. Should just be limited restaurants souvenir shops and native structures for accommodations at the foothills.
    It is not about the money, it is annoying. We have always to prepare small amounts, they never have enough to give back big bills like in a sari sari store which is forgivable.

    • @litomercado2069

      I concurr and agree with your point of view..the goverment should build and stablished the infrastratures..canoe should be available for rentals. Existing stilt and nipas should be remove and demolished.

      @@litomercado2069 glad someone like you thinks the same. Tourism staffs are dumb. Unable to think an environmental friendly eco tourism. Allowing greedy businessmen. Body of water and littoral zones are for everyone. It's already visible fenced access to the beaches on popular sea side resorts. 😠

    • @SelwynClydeAlojipan
      @SelwynClydeAlojipan 2 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      You are only thinking of yourself as a one-time or occasional visitor but the people who live near the place need to have an incentive to keep the place clean and safe for future visitors. The small fees and rentals of the cottages and rafts are their way of getting paid for taking care of their habitat. If you make the government step in and take the fees, the locals won't want to protect the place anymore and the cost to the government will be higher in terms of taxes and hiring outsiders to be in charge. Try to think of a better sustainable economic benefit for the local inhabitants instead of being the pampered tourist.

    • @michaelamontemayor448
      @michaelamontemayor448 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SelwynClydeAlojipan small thingking. Visitors will come more. Government lands should not be sold. Rent it. Price control on businesses not to abuse visitors. That is where big bucks is. Tourism information should be on the site too. And put souvenir items, no rent for them they manage the place. So much ways to generate income with out those stupid entries. Instead to have cleaners, have a patrol who will receipt litterers. It's visitors discipline and will make money too. Knowing the habits of pinoys.

    • @litomercado2069
