Amazing. I was born with artistic talent. I'm lucky to be here and this is beautiful love the attention to detail. Art is through the eyes of genetics ❤ uk
Thank you again for another great tutorial. I find it is particular helpful that you shared your thought or decision-making process along the way. You are the best! ❤
sorry to be offtopic but does any of you know a tool to log back into an instagram account? I was dumb lost the account password. I love any help you can give me
@Cayson Fletcher I really appreciate your reply. I found the site thru google and I'm trying it out now. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
Your videos are so helpful. I am learning to paint in quarantine, using a scratchpad and children's paint set I found at the dollar store. It may not be perfect, but it is making me so happy. Thank you.
I LOVE this painting! You are so very talented and I thank you for sharing it with us. Thank you for telling us what colors you are using as you go along. I have gone back to painting with watercolors and watching you paint helps me. The softness of your background in this painting is wonderful!
Thank you! I’m fairly new to Watercolor...your paintings are exquisite! Sharing your thoughts has helped me understand colors and techniques. All the best!
I am so inspired by your work and such an honest comment about the scratching.. I am doing wc for a decade now but still so scared to do whites.. Thank you for this real time video.. very helpful❤️. Will be watching your channel in future too.🙏
Everyday I wait for receiving another new video from you. Watching them it´s really a great experience to me. I wish you could come down to Brazil aiming at providing some workshop sessions to us. Thank you very much.
Edson, that is in my plan - be able to visit different places and meeting artists around the world. Please spread the channels to other artists around you. When there are enough artists have the same need, then I will be there. Best.
I love that detail you can get with watercolor! I use oils and it's a whole other kind of texture. That said, I can scarcely paint to save my life haha.
You are such an incredible artist - love your work! I have watched a few of your videos and you use the same pallet of colours. Can you please tell me, specifically, the colour names? I'm a beginner and would appreciate the knowledge :)
So did I, she died at the age of 17 a few years ago....I found her in a grocery store parking lot one stormy night when she was about 8 months old. She was deaf in one ear, which happens with odd eyed cats sometimes. She was a great cat, though...beautiful and sweet, there will never be another like her.
Joy! Thank you! Could you tell me are you painting on the flat or tilted? Also why do you squeeze your brush dry with your fingers rather than using a cloth or paper towel? Many thanks!
I am painting in a 5 degree tilted angle. Using fingers to remove water from brush gives better control over how much water you want to keep in the brush. Thanks for your question.
Mr. Chen, do you have a video about all the different watercolor brushes and what they are best for? I bought a tapered round accidentally and realized I'm better off for now with a normal one as a beginner. but while researching, there are so many! mop, liner, sumi, flat, oval, etc. If you know of a good resource, please share :) I'd like to know what type is capable of what. thank you
+Yong Chen interesting when I look through your channel videos, the watercolor brush one does not show up! weird. so thank you really for sharing the link
thanks @Yong Chen! i'll try out the techniques you used here and with your other vidoes, I'm a noob with watercolors, kinda scared of using it actually, im more of a line-art kinda guy. but you inspire me, and I think I can learn to like the media :) more power and thanks again!

Thank you for your confirmation.
Thank you. The cat comes right off the paper as if it is emerging from it. I'm totally gobsmacked in awe. 😮
There's nothing harder then trying to paint a white cat in watercolor and keep it from looking like a dirty cat ......great work!!!
Cat look just like my snowy snow winters 2017-2020 very beautiful painting
Your drawing technique is very helpful, for getting animal proportions and features correct. Thank you!
I am subscribed!
One of your best!

Totally amazing, as usual. I tend to try too hard for realism and your impressionism turns out right on with your subject. I love your videos.

You are such an incredible artist - love your work! I have watched a few of your videos and you use the same pallet of colours. Can you please tell me, specifically, the colour names? I'm a beginner and would appreciate the knowledge :)
I have a beautiful white cat with one blue eye and one green eye!
That's very interesting.

I do too! I want to paint my Turkish Van kitty so I’m watching this video 🤣

I love how u use your wrist to keep your hands steady. Gonna try that

You did a beautiful job. I just love your round brush. What is it?
Thanks for your comment. I have a page listed the materials for my lessons, look at the footer link on this page: enjoyingart.com/
Do you prepare the paper first? My scratching damages the paper, I can’t lift the paint off...
画得太好啦!
hum beautiful. I wanna this patrion!
Hi your art is so nice
Can I know what type of paper do you use?
For this cat painting, I use amzn.to/3fLN7ol
Where can I get the brush you used? The red one. And what size is it? Thank you.
Patti, I have a web page listing most of materials that I used in my lessons. Go to this page and look at the footer for the link: enjoyingart.com/
+Yong Chen Unfortunately that doesn't answer the question; the #10 round with the red handle is not listed there.
You used green colour for eyes first..How we will understand when to use green or other colours...
Amazing!
Thanks :)
This cat looks like mine!

For this painting, I used the watercolor book the first time. It is Canson Cold Press 140lb.
thanks @Yong Chen! i'll try out the techniques you used here and with your other vidoes, I'm a noob with watercolors, kinda scared of using it actually, im more of a line-art kinda guy. but you inspire me, and I think I can learn to like the media :) more power and thanks again!
