To give those explanations without a teleprompter is quite amazing. I love how Dorothy smiles and flashes her eyes when John gets going. All the panel have great and often witty reactions, but Dorothy's are usually the best.

Great collection of Mr Daly's circumlocutions. 😂 👌👌👌
He seems he could have been a good lawyer at one time.
Also, I kept waiting for him to say, "I got nothing". But no, he always had something and made a face sometimes to acknowledge his extraordinary speeches.

"While not sure of your term of reference... to put it in the proper context...in light of the answer that was given... it's reasonable to presume... this gets you a negative answer, but in an affirmative sense..." - while the moderator's banter, if shared by the populace, would be most galling, in this posted ambient (and original medium) it does further the prospects of good humor, good fun, and good living. Thanks for sharing :-)

John’s elocutions were a treasured, iconic part of What’s My Line, as were Arlene’s and Bennett’s salty and witty responses!

It sounded like a bunch of gobbledygook, but actually he made perfect sense.

Fun to watch the reactions by the contestants to John's epigrams...
In pursuant to refer to a concise, witty, and often satirical verse, dealing pointedly and often satirically with a single thought or event.
    So there...

I love to see the expression on the members of the panel listening to John's circumlutions.

I'm surprised circumlocutions is a word. Most fitting I must say.

"And the application directly to...", as John might quantify.

Could you imagine how long the declaration of Independence would be if John Daly had written it instead of Thomas Jefferson
He probably would have gotten help from Daniel Webster himself for the correct wording of the document

I am pretty sure that John is even more ambiguous, evasive, abstract and intricate in bed. Not knowing for sure what he really likes.
