We have a C6 and are pulling a 700R4 for rebuild.
You can buy a nice phenolic white adapter for 40$ it will run a lot cooler than steel
This is an aluminum GM pattern Throttle Body Injection to square or spreadbore carb manifold adapter made for free from an aluminum block off plate. You could add a phenolic spacer if you want and there is hood clearance.
