    Go to the junkyard and buy a bucket full of aluminum machining chips. Wash then dry in the sun. No need to completely de grease them, freely flowing is good enough. Then put them in a ball mill till you get a course powder. Then add a bit of charcoal, graphite or sterin grease and grind again to dust. You can pulverize other metals as well magnesium and titanium are both good fir pyro use, zinc is good for many chemistry uses. Magnesium and titanium don't need to be ground as finely as aluminum.

    • @blackimaje

      you should not be using lead balls( glass marbles are a better option) for this process-it will contaminate and add impurities into your mixture -a better way to test this is to simply put it in a spoon and set it ablaze with a torch and fling it in to the air (away from you in a safe non -flammable area ) . I would also not go over around 8 hours of milling before opening your container also -just my two cents worth anyway

    • @sciencemansandera
      @sciencemansandera 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes people don't realize the dangers of a lot of chemicals in the elements that's how asbestos gives you lung cancer is it's a sharp piece of stone that cuts and sticks in your lung. I would think the way to do it would be do it wet and then evaporate the fluid. However water and aluminum create hydrogen gas and very explosive

      Elijah Dynys neither do ball bearings under normal conditions. The strange thing is I've heard the warnings against using ball bearings for years, but no one has been able to tell me of an actual story or event to support the warning. Yes theoretically its possible they can spark and ignite the powder, but its also more likely the motor will burn out and catch fire first.
