I just finished a brand new $500 (minus videocard) Amd Ryzen 7 5700X3D/Gigabyte B550 Aorus Elite Ax V2/Thermalright PS120SE/G.Skill Ripjaws V 32GB DDR4/Crucial P3 Plus 1TB M.2 SSD/GeForce Gigabyte 3060Ti/Thermaltake Smart BM3 650W/NZXT Phantom-001 White build. Coming off a gaming Intel i7-4790k/Asus Z97-AR/Noctua NH-D15/G.Skill Ripjaws X 32gb DDR3/Kingston NV2 1TB M.2/GeForce Gigabyte RTX-3060Ti set-up, i'm hoping this will be a step-up in performance. It is my first adventure away from Intel cpu's, and I am a little concerned at the seemingly miniscule bit of overclocking allowed with this AMD cpu. We shall see...
The X3D chips in general don't overclock well, the 5700x3d isn't an outlier in that regard. It is a limitation of the architecture with the extra cache IIRC. However, they do undervolt very well for not just cooler temps but also better performance. I'd recommend looking up a PBO optimizer guide for your 5700x3d.

Sounds like a great build. Good luck!
