I came across this video 7 years ago and fell in love with it instantly. Then this past weekend my brother and I went down to Alyeska (where part of this was filmed) for a ski weekend with friends. As I’m waking up and getting ready I hear My Silver Lining start playing from my brothers phone in the other room. A core memory is triggered and I instantly find this video on TH-cam to jam along figuring he’s watching it. It turns out that it’s his alarm clock song and he’d never seen the video before. So we watch it together and he’s as equally impressed. This made for a great story later around the fire pit and I had the pleasure of sharing this epic video with a few more people.
I revisit this so often over the years. It is written on my soul I think. Truly artful. Beauty. Freedom. I hope everyone involved feels so proud of their work. It’s perfect.

I am aware that I am biased as a skier, but this has to be one of the most beautiful pieces of art ever created. The Alaskan scenery, the lighting, the snow, the suits, the choice of music and last but not least, the incredible abilities of Daron, Pep, Eric and Chris. Doesn't get any better than this. Stunning. Simply stunning.
I love, love, love this video. It captures the spirit and freedom of skiing. I can feel the cold and the wind on my cheeks when I watch this. Last year I had a ski accident and broke my hip. Next winter I want to go skiing again and this is the song I listen to, over and over again. It makes me happy, despite what happened.

Still the best video by a country mile. I watched every single ski and snowboard movie and still, this is the best for the combination of music and setting and pace. Yeah there is a claim over originality, but when you look at the combination of everything, it’s so, so good. I loved Greg Stump’s stuff. I loved Matchstick Productiond and so many others. But in 4 minutes, everything of the soul of the mood is captured in this very short ‘movie’. Go ski. Go board. Go ride ❤️

There are at least two more shorts like this from the same theme/concept. One is called 'Darklight' and its mountain biking; the other is surfing but I forgot the name. They're both pretty good, but this is still my favorite, it's just so gorgeous :)
Really outstanding work! Lots of effort went in to this production and it really shows. Certainly more than worthy of some kind of international award. A real treat. We're biased, of course, because it was filmed just down the street from us here in our home state of Alaska. Great tune, very skillful athletes, and the camera work? Flawless.
