I used to hate them for constantly baiting people with lies about how the blind girl is gonna be alright next time, but at the same time, there has to be something more to it all. I didn't know that this was a thing until 3 minutes ago, but now I am deeply invested in Blind Girl. Also, that was an excellent and beautiful analysis on audience character appeal. I've always loved characters who are sweet and kind, pushed into situations where they become sad or break down, only for them to realize to fight basically by keep smiling, and in the end are able to wait out the storm and truly smile again. It's just such a lovely thing for me, and it's really inspirational. and I honestly love it more than a pure happy character or a constantly brave or sad one. because it's like you said, it something that more people could relate to, it feels more realistic to me

i have a blind freind myself i havent talked to in a while, but he has a discord channel and a twitch where he hosts his music and his podcast, where he interviews note worthy danish pepole (for he and i am dainish) and his sheer effort in what he finds fun inspires me, for he was born with a curse, yet he dosent let that halt him, and he helped me find myself too, i used to post shit all the time on a shared youtube channel n-n yt, alot of it was inspird by him and our running joke about duolingo declaring ''im gonna kill you now!'' and i honestly miss all that i made though his spirit, most lost to time, and he was on the godamn news for his acpompishments! i find his life inspiring im not sure he notice just HOW inspiring though

Finding out about blindy and all the art from popopoka was one of the best discoveries I had in a long time. I feel like, and correct me if I’m wrong, seeing blindy’s life and her struggles could help anyone who was bullied, abused, or mistreated in general, especially people with disabilities who have gone through similar experiences . Finding out one art after another that blindy has had yet another shitty experience breaks my heart, but it’s nice to think that someone out there who has went through similar things can feel like there’s someone else albeit fictional that can understand their pain. And then you see a whole community of people asking and begging the artist to stop bullying the girl or actually paying money to commission an art with blindy having positive experiences and being happy for once. Can you imagine how amazing it would feel for those people? It could help them cope and heal. It could offer them reassurance that they did not deserve to go through their struggles and that perhaps world has some good people in it after all who would help you or at least not mistreat you. So I think it’s a massive win for any artist or any person who can manage to help people in that way.
I know a person that i would consider a Cinammon roll. Shes such a kind person but she gets bullied at school to the point she had to switch classes. I fell in love with her and well.. she doesnt know that since i dont have the guts to tell her. It made me cry when i found out she got bullied since shes a such a fun and kind person, She just lights up the room in an instant. I hope she knows people care about her.

There's something that feels coldly calculated about how the artist handles this character. It's like some Shodan-esque AI observed humanity, concocted the perfect formula for Feels, and then put it out there in an attempt to make some whompum.

For me the blind girl art is a reminder to be kind to others, and keep an eye out for people who are in need of help. It also serves to create a sobering effect on those who see it giving them more clarity allowing them to better reflect on the actions of others and themselves.
I think I understand where this artist is coming from with his work. I have a friend who i've become very close with over the Pandemic and they're become one of my closest friends. The thing is, they come from a very abusive family. Hearing about the things that happen with them is always hard, but I've also been helping them become more comfortable with themselves and to take the steps to get out of that house. Despite all of that, they're always so much fun to talk to, and they're a good artist to boot. It's been two and a half years, but things are looking up for them. The reason why I bring this up is I feel very similar when I see this art. Blind Girl feels like a dark reality of how some people's lives are. But at the same time, it also shows what happens when there's hope. Little things that you enjoy that help you keep your life together and give you a sanctuary from all that's around you, even if it's for a bit. The best art usually has multiple ways to interpret it, but just calling it it "abuse porn" like i've seen some people have feels very ignorant.

I didn't know that this was a thing until 3 minutes ago, but now I am deeply invested in Blind Girl.
Also, that was an excellent and beautiful analysis on audience character appeal. I've always loved characters who are sweet and kind, pushed into situations where they become sad or break down, only for them to realize to fight basically by keep smiling, and in the end are able to wait out the storm and truly smile again. It's just such a lovely thing for me, and it's really inspirational. and I honestly love it more than a pure happy character or a constantly brave or sad one. because it's like you said, it something that more people could relate to, it feels more realistic to me
popopoka (the artist) is a legitimate genius: he appealed to people's strongest weakness: emotions. This way the artist was able to get a lot of commissions. Also the art is awesome
what is sad that popopoka often gets harrassed for "abuse of the character". Like, people literally being the same as people abusing the girl in comic by doing that.
in a way it's the sign of good art. He makes the viewer emotionally connect with the girl so well that they *have* to take action to defend her.

They are the same people that would attack artists over drawing a character, claim fatphobia and whatever comes to their brain during the moment. That's not "moving" as these people target artist.

i have a blind freind myself i havent talked to in a while, but he has a discord channel and a twitch where he hosts his music and his podcast, where he interviews note worthy danish pepole (for he and i am dainish) and his sheer effort in what he finds fun inspires me, for he was born with a curse, yet he dosent let that halt him, and he helped me find myself too, i used to post shit all the time on a shared youtube channel n-n yt, alot of it was inspird by him and our running joke about duolingo declaring ''im gonna kill you now!'' and i honestly miss all that i made though his spirit, most lost to time, and he was on the godamn news for his acpompishments!

This video made me feel awful and I wish I hadn't seen it. I'm 31M and have spent my entire life 100% sure that I don't want kids. I would adopt her to take care of her, love her, make her smile, and work my butt off to make sure she never feels bad again. She's absolutely one of the most precious girls I've ever seen.

Finding out about blindy and all the art from popopoka was one of the best discoveries I had in a long time. I feel like, and correct me if I’m wrong, seeing blindy’s life and her struggles could help anyone who was bullied, abused, or mistreated in general, especially people with disabilities who have gone through similar experiences . Finding out one art after another that blindy has had yet another shitty experience breaks my heart, but it’s nice to think that someone out there who has went through similar things can feel like there’s someone else albeit fictional that can understand their pain. And then you see a whole community of people asking and begging the artist to stop bullying the girl or actually paying money to commission an art with blindy having positive experiences and being happy for once. Can you imagine how amazing it would feel for those people? It could help them cope and heal. It could offer them reassurance that they did not deserve to go through their struggles and that perhaps world has some good people in it after all who would help you or at least not mistreat you. So I think it’s a massive win for any artist or any person who can manage to help people in that way.

I know a person that i would consider a Cinammon roll. Shes such a kind person but she gets bullied at school to the point she had to switch classes. I fell in love with her and well.. she doesnt know that since i dont have the guts to tell her. It made me cry when i found out she got bullied since shes a such a fun and kind person, She just lights up the room in an instant. I hope she knows people care about her.
I think we stay because of the pain she’s going through, not in a sadistic way but in a way where we’re desperate to see her feel anything other than misery even the littlest things that’d be normal to see any other person doing like sleeping calmly, we’re so relief to see her doing it’s like being a dog tied to a poll when your owner lets the chain go a little further it makes you happier, not happy but just better than before, even if the owner ties the chain back to being shorter you still look forward to waiting sometime later where they’ll eventually let it be long again even if it’ll go back to normal we just want to feel content.

For me the blind girl art is a reminder to be kind to others, and keep an eye out for people who are in need of help. It also serves to create a sobering effect on those who see it giving them more clarity allowing them to better reflect on the actions of others and themselves.

That “...hope you will too” sent chills. Been in a weird place lately and sorties like Blind Girl makes me feel...
I think I understand where this artist is coming from with his work. I have a friend who i've become very close with over the Pandemic and they're become one of my closest friends. The thing is, they come from a very abusive family. Hearing about the things that happen with them is always hard, but I've also been helping them become more comfortable with themselves and to take the steps to get out of that house. Despite all of that, they're always so much fun to talk to, and they're a good artist to boot. It's been two and a half years, but things are looking up for them.
The reason why I bring this up is I feel very similar when I see this art. Blind Girl feels like a dark reality of how some people's lives are. But at the same time, it also shows what happens when there's hope. Little things that you enjoy that help you keep your life together and give you a sanctuary from all that's around you, even if it's for a bit. The best art usually has multiple ways to interpret it, but just calling it it "abuse porn" like i've seen some people have feels very ignorant.
I actually don't trust whoever's drawing these considering the theme and from what I heard that artist ask people to pay up so the girl would be drawn "happy", basically holding a hostage of some sort.

I really feel bad for her.
I found out about blind girl like last month or something idk, came across my recommended youtube thing and I was trying to watch more small indie animations and the like, I watched the one video on popopoka's channel where blondie is just having a bad day and just bullies her about being blind and so on, and I was just... I don't know, it was too good ,the timing, the way blind girl just keeps trying to roll with the punches until she finally breaks and has to excuse herself, something about that felt very human to me
And then I watched the one with the guitar where she keeps trying to play and the parents keep getting louder and there are things being banged and broken and she tries to ignore and keep playing but then its too much and I also felt that, Blind Girl is a work of art
