This was the palace of saundekardessai, he resided here with he's family after he came from he's vallage of saunda because of some enemies who were behind him, he came here and asked Portuguese to give him shelter and save him from the enemies and the Portugese gave him this underground place. This place is counted as one of the palaces of Goa. He is the same king who has he's palace in Bandoda, Ponda.

RG there is a same underground like structure in Tivim, behind Livrament hall. I tried to enter it but there was not enough passage to enter. I have known that during the revolutionary period in 1961, protestors were hiding there of being caught by the Portuguese.

Local boys must go on adventure, finding such old structures.
@@RDavengerr The best way to go is from the Tivim ground side, there is a road named Aloysius Gomes road, just on the left hand side, from there get down and walk towards a jambool tree and you might find some new houses there, just exactly there.

Goa Government since liberation (?) has done nothing to save the monuments all around Goa. They want easy money so were busy making from mining and tourism. Both have gone down there is no contingency plan. The reason why rbi is auctioning government bonds on a regular basis
What is the tourism minister doing there. If they are not interested then they should allow private players to take charge of it for tourism promotion. Doesn't Goa have a good company to take over it, also the villagers should take over it and open it for the tourist. At least the locals can help to keep it clean and approvable and have shop's there to fund their cleanliness drive. Guy's stop being dependent on the government for everything. It's our home and country so take initiative collectively
The authorities are busy making money for personal gains. If they have to spend on doing research on this monument they won't me able to acquire land and build houses and get fancy cars.
