at 9:28 you mentioned that you cannot play music independently on the watch. I CAN play my music from my watch speaker. there are two steps 1. on the watch, settings, sounds and vibration, enable "media audio." 2. then on your phone, bluetooth settings, make sure bluetooth on, in the listing for Tank T2, hit the "gear" icon, enable "audio." most of the time I just leave this to off, so that I play music from the phone speaker instead of the watch, but still can control playback from the watch. even with "audio" turned off for the bluetooth connection, I can still take phone calls on the watch.
You're absolutely right, regarding the music - I should've clarified that I meant it can't play music "independently" because it doesn't have built-in storage for MP3s. That makes total sense about what you mentioned with enabling "media audio" on the watch and in the Bluetooth settings - that's good that you can play music through the watch speaker. On a side note, that's interesting about calls still working even with "audio" turned off for Bluetooth. Good to know! Thanks for the very thorough review. Very helpful. I've had mine for about 6 months and I like it a lot. Unfortunately they just updated the software in March 2024 and all of the really nice classic watch faces I previously had saved are no longer available. Do you know if there's anywhere I can download extra choices that are not actually in the phone app? The watch face you show in your video is excellent but it's not available. They offer a lot of goofy watch faces that look like a 10-year-old might choose, not a lot of very classical looking things an adult would want.
Glad you're enjoying the watch overall. I agree its frustrating about losing favouite watch faces after the update. In the upcoming T3's video (the link I sent you in the previous comment) I actually mentioned this recent update to the kospet that added a bunch of cartoony watch faces...I'm not happy about it at all. It seems like they might be going for a more playful look, which isnt also in my taste. They need to add professional looking watch faces, and I said that. Great review! I have this exact watch & for the money, it is awesome! I get around 2 weeks from the battery life and do find most of the tracking/health features to be quite accurate. You mentioned the ability to add apps that aren't within the Kospet, but I'm still trying to figure that part out.

Still liking it, and still get about 2 weeks of battery life. Also it is definitely scratch proof. I've had it only about 2 months, so long term performance I can't say.

The T2 is a good and relatively affordable watch, and I would definitely recommend it if you're looking for something rugged, durable, and basic. If you're still shopping around, here are a few other rugged smartwatches to check out: the Amazfit T-Rex Ultra (I'm testing it at the moment, and it has everything included), or the newest TicWatch Pro. However, if you're like me and looking for a more basic yet good-looking ruggedized watch, the new Haylou R8 is very cheap and incredibly premium looking (I bought it on AliExpress for around £30 a few days ago, and I'll obviously review it soon - It looks a bit better than the T-Rex Ultra, but it's more basic). There's also the new Mibro A2, but it doesn't have the same premium build, but its also pretty cheap and its accurate (steps, HR, Spo2). Anyway, if you're looking for a new watch make sure it has an AMOLED display, it doesnt matter which brand you'd go for. AMOLED displays are brighter, have better colours and don't penalize battery life.. LEt me know which watch you've decided to go for. Cheers!

I haven't got it with me, I'm on holidays, but I'll check it out first thing when back home. My guess, try to swipe the screen from top to bottom to get to the quick menu, and if Bluetooth on/off isn't there swipe from right to left to get to the 2nd page of the menu and possibly it's there.
This depends on what you are looking for in a smartwatch. If you want a stylish smartwatch with a long battery life and good fitness tracking features and beautiful amoled display -the Mibro GS is a great option. Tbh if mibro gs has a better build quality and Bluetooth calling it wouldn't even be a competition. I ended up buying the T2 only bcs of those specific things. And so far im only sad that the screen isn't as smooth as the gs other than that its a worth buy. Its just like I don't have a 120fps phone
I purchased the Tank T2 to connect with my iPhone 12 pro max, but it's been have problem with receiving messages, like I received 10 message on my iPhone, only 6 or 7 will show up on the T2, also the watch may not support some apps message, like uber eats, doordash, amazon app, etc. they all not show up on T2 message.
that's strange. however, a possible casue - have you got continuous heart rate measuring turned on? also, the secondary bluetooth connection for phone calls may contribute to faster battery drain. But still, 26% in half hour doesn't sound right. Did you try to contact kospet customer service - or the seller?
Tank T2 does not have internet connectivity, so it cannot connect to a mobile hotspot. If you need to use a smartwatch that can connect to a mobile hotspot, you will need to choose a smartwatch that has Wi-Fi connectivity or cellular connectivity.

True, if it's a swimming pool then it's a water with chemicals, which affects the seals in the watch. If it's a sea water then salty inductive water can gradually damage the metal parts.. so it's probably safest to say, it's splash proof rather than waterproof...
Sorry to hear that, but since it's military grade glass, you'll have to contact customer service (or manufacturer directly) to see if it is covered by the warranty. Its NOT supposed to break. The possible reasons - the glass may not have been properly installed (if it's not properly bonded to the watch case, it may be more likely to shatter when dropped), Or (very unlikely) the glass may have been damaged before the drop - if the watch was dropped or hit before the drop, the glass may have already been weakened and more likely to break. Still, try to contact seller, manufacturer or customer service, as I'm certain, this not suppose to happen during 1 meter drop.
I've had this watch for over 2 months. I disagree on its accuracy compared to my Google phone or my Samsung watch. It is way off when it translates steps to miles. It'll say I had 17,000 steps but only walked 4 miles which is 3 mi less than what Google or Samsung say that is not accurate
Child's watch. The dials also demonstrate this aspect. The defects are there and in large numbers. Let's start with the notifications that do not come from all the apps installed but only some that have been preset by the parent company. For example, if we want notifications about football matches (with any app), if we want notifications from bank apps, even Chrome, we CANNOT have them. The rotation of the wrist to turn on the screen must be sudden, almost enough to hurt. Notifications arrive about 2 seconds late. It frequently disconnects from bluetooth and we have to restart the phone or watch. The battery life is not at all what they indicate on the site. Nasty, strong, non-adjustable vibration. Software almost never updated, old, outdated, simple. Bear in mind that reviews on Amazon are filtered and regulated with refund offers trying to make everything appear positive. I'm sorry but we are talking about a watch worth 30 euros sold for more than 100, a real steal.

@@danishlums Hi. Looks like you've already made up your mind toward the Mibro GS PRO. I haven't had the PRO version but I can tell, this would be my choice over the Kospet watch too. I personally think, the GS PRO has more refined look than Tank T2 (and certainly better than the previous Mibro GS). If you can buy it for around $50 I think it's a good price too. I've checked, I can get it for £70 (which is around 80$), so with $50 you got yourself a bargain. Comparing the technical specs, I would say, PRO overtakes the T2 in almost every aspect, but that may reflect on slightly shorter battery life in PRO. So......Pro it is. Let me know what was your choice, once you decide to buy. And thanks for the comment. Adam.

ahhhh...thats a bummer to hear your watch stopping after only 3 months.. - If you haven't already, definitely reach out to Kospet about the warranty, I haven't had any issues with my T2 in the review period, so I appreciate you brought this up. I will mention this and other user experiences when I will check out and review the upcoming T2 Pro (or T3? - i'm not siee what Kospet sends us next). Anyway, keep in mind that my reviews are based on short-term testing (around 3-5 weeks), so I often can't fully capture a long-term durability.

Thanks. That is very helpful. I had two other watches from a different company that claimed to be waterproof that died on submerging for 15 seconds at a depth of 2 ft. Even though this one claims to be waterproof I'm sure it's no different. I take it off even before I go in the shower

I totally get your hesitation about water resistance - I've had watches before that promised they were waterproof, then went dead after a quick dip. While the Kospet Tank T2 seems built for swimming based on the specs and I've been wearing it to the pool and to the sea last year on our holidays, I haven't personally tested it like "super deep" for prolonged period of time. For anything crazy like diving or hot springs, maybe a dedicated dive watch would be a safest bet.

Yes heart monitor is on ...Bluetooth I think is off...I just turn off always on display then battery life is finally decreasing moderately

Falling from 1m the glass already broken. After swimming 1hour lines on display and the watch is not usable anymore.

True, if it's a swimming pool then it's a water with chemicals, which affects the seals in the watch. If it's a sea water then salty inductive water can gradually damage the metal parts.. so it's probably safest to say, it's splash proof rather than waterproof...
Sorry to hear that, but since it's military grade glass, you'll have to contact customer service (or manufacturer directly) to see if it is covered by the warranty. Its NOT supposed to break.
The possible reasons - the glass may not have been properly installed (if it's not properly bonded to the watch case, it may be more likely to shatter when dropped),
Or (very unlikely) the glass may have been damaged before the drop - if the watch was dropped or hit before the drop, the glass may have already been weakened and more likely to break.
Still, try to contact seller, manufacturer or customer service, as I'm certain, this not suppose to happen during 1 meter drop.
It is china quality... the worst watches..

I've had this watch for over 2 months. I disagree on its accuracy compared to my Google phone or my Samsung watch. It is way off when it translates steps to miles. It'll say I had 17,000 steps but only walked 4 miles which is 3 mi less than what Google or Samsung say that is not accurate
Child's watch. The dials also demonstrate this aspect. The defects are there and in large numbers. Let's start with the notifications that do not come from all the apps installed but only some that have been preset by the parent company. For example, if we want notifications about football matches (with any app), if we want notifications from bank apps, even Chrome, we CANNOT have them. The rotation of the wrist to turn on the screen must be sudden, almost enough to hurt. Notifications arrive about 2 seconds late. It frequently disconnects from bluetooth and we have to restart the phone or watch. The battery life is not at all what they indicate on the site. Nasty, strong, non-adjustable vibration. Software almost never updated, old, outdated, simple. Bear in mind that reviews on Amazon are filtered and regulated with refund offers trying to make everything appear positive. I'm sorry but we are talking about a watch worth 30 euros sold for more than 100, a real steal.

Please give an honest opinion. I am confused between buying Mibro GS PRO & KOSPET Tank T2. Which one is better?
I am talking about the Mibro GS PRO and not the Mibro GS. The GS PRO is the advanced version of GS and it now supports Bluetooth calling and also has a GPS which is not present in the KOSPET. Also you can customize the side button in GS PRO. Both watches are priced at around $50 in my country. Please let me know which one I should buy as I want to place my order by tomorrow. Looking forward to your response.
@@danishlums Hi. Looks like you've already made up your mind toward the Mibro GS PRO. I haven't had the PRO version but I can tell, this would be my choice over the Kospet watch too.
I personally think, the GS PRO has more refined look than Tank T2 (and certainly better than the previous Mibro GS). If you can buy it for around $50 I think it's a good price too. I've checked, I can get it for £70 (which is around 80$), so with $50 you got yourself a bargain.
Comparing the technical specs, I would say, PRO overtakes the T2 in almost every aspect, but that may reflect on slightly shorter battery life in PRO. So......Pro it is.

I think I will go with the GS PRO. Can you tell me whether it supports any 22mm strap? I would like to put on a metallic/leather strap on it.
@@danishlums I have checked out, indeed its a 22mm wide strap - however, its tapered (narrower at the lug end, where it measures 22mm and the rest of the strap is wider but streamlined). But certainly it's 22mm wide.

well, it's fine for swimming in salt water and everyday wear, but for truly extreme situations...who knows...

I haven't had any issues with my T2 in the review period, so I appreciate you brought this up. I will mention this and other user experiences when I will check out and review the upcoming T2 Pro (or T3? - i'm not siee what Kospet sends us next). Anyway, keep in mind that my reviews are based on short-term testing (around 3-5 weeks), so I often can't fully capture a long-term durability.

I've been using my T2 in the pool and sea all summer without probs, it sounds like your watch might have an issue with seal integrity. Anyway, it shouldn't happen with a brand new watch.. I'll be in touch soon as will get reply from rep.
Thanks. That is very helpful. I had two other watches from a different company that claimed to be waterproof that died on submerging for 15 seconds at a depth of 2 ft. Even though this one claims to be waterproof I'm sure it's no different. I take it off even before I go in the shower

Btw. I totally get your hesitation about water resistance - I've had watches before that promised they were waterproof, then went dead after a quick dip. While the Kospet Tank T2 seems built for swimming based on the specs and I've been wearing it to the pool and to the sea last year on our holidays, I haven't personally tested it like "super deep" for prolonged period of time.
For anything crazy like diving or hot springs, maybe a dedicated dive watch would be a safest bet.

I would think so. I haven't had t-rex 2, but I own t-rex ultra , which surpasses the kospet T2 in terms of complexity, design, and features.
