Quannics new album is definitely more creative and changed my perspective on his music and i would say his music is great And should definitely stand higher than D tier
just went to the diiv tour in atl with full body 2 and hjol and they’re sick! They opened and shit was magical. Got a pic with them and was wearing their merch in support❤️
Totally different genre but there's an electronic artist named Sam Gellaitry. I found him on Soundcloud in 2014 when he was around 17 and he was already dropping heat so I knew he was going places and he has. flyingfish gives off the same vibes to me, there's just something different and very promising about that sound. I love what he's dropped so far and I also think he could be S-tier in the future. Solid list, for me I think I'd switch Glare and Trauma Ray. Seen both bands twice and I like Trauma Ray's live shows a lot more.
honestly bleary eyed and full body 2 sound just like tabagow (which came first). (full body 2 does take the electronic approach a lot further tho, which i like, and makes them worth checking, they kinda remind me of lovesliescrushing). Wisp on the other hand is just the most generic nu gaze I've ever heard in my life, it's like manufactered IA tiktok shoegaze. same thing with trauma ray and flying fish, like they're too derivative in my opinion. Kraus is the only band here who tries a new sound and does it very good, and their explosiveness and performances are crazy good. They're arguably the best band here along with tabagow imo.
imo julie is a shoegaze band. i think just because some songs sound like alt rock when it comes to guitar tones and structure, it doesn't mean they aren't shoegaze. some songs have the fuzzy guitars and almost whispered vocals and of course the dreamy chords and melodies. some songs lean a lot more to shoegaze and some to alternative rock. so ig they are shoegaze/alt rock. just my opinion tho.
I don’t really like quannnic. It’s the vocals that turn me off. To me at least he combines the worst elements of nu metal vocals and mall emo. I like some of his instrumentals, but a lot of them feel way too overproduce and bloated also, I don’t really like the fanbase to be honest lots of meat riders and a lot of people have copied him and haven’t innovated on the sound. With all that being said, if you like quannnic’s music, good all power to you. 5:45
he has annoying fanbase and i get it but saying people copy him just shows that he is influential. And also he started as a hyperpop artist so i think thats why its overproduced and its not for everyone but for me his music bangs but i respect ur opinion
@@luke-da-dukeid say after the magic is more leaning towards the more shoegaze side of things the production is pretty good on that album with all the synths

the new Julie song is pretty much a cover of MBV "when you wake"
@@sammm9970nah. But it is pretty simmilar
@@sammm9970not really. The riff kinda resembles it but the rest of the song is very difference

@@chollachow especially when a lot of his fan base call any other shoegaze quannnic core
