Hello Micha! Wow.. what a journey. I’m a Native of Durban. You’re right about South Africans, especially Durbanites.. very polite and chilled people. My older brother relocated to New York. He traveled the same route. I rarely see these Durban to USA videos on TH-cam. Appreciate the awesome video👌🏾
I've watched this video so many times - it just hits all the marks so well: pacing, good narration but not with irritating details or personal opinion; great detail about the airports and flights themselves, music that is given only when it's needed e.g. flying. I just love this video it's both to the point, but has nice extra details, I hope I get to travel again somewhere soon. :)

Did you fly Economy with no extra perks? I am hoping to fly from BNE Australia via Dubai too (to Europe), with only a carry-on suitcase and a small backpack (backpack is smaller than my carry-on suitcase), worried having two carry-on items will be an issue, as Emirates says only one 7KG item? I am hoping my backpack counts as a personal item...? Thank you if you can shed some light on this. :) No checked baggage.
Hi i would just like to say that was an amazing video you shared flying with emirates, that 2nd leg of the journey ..flying from to Dubai to Chicago that's some distance ...im flying out in feburay with emirates from Manchester uk to Bangkok on the a380.800 i can not wait ...thanks again for sharing your movie ..all the best for 2024

I been on 777-300ERs five times to Philippines, 14hrs, usually crash at my destination early in morn, can't imagine the time you spent, but I'm in my 70's so see how you youngins can manage ...... but again, why? You prefer to sit in back? I’m surprised you could stow your bag up above. We usually don’t get to sit together because neither of us will sit in middle seats. We’re both tall. So, we try to sit aisle across from each other if traveling economy. Mateo was noticeably quiet this trip.
Hahah yea Matteo was very quite this time around! 😂🤣 and that makes sense! Matteo & I like to sit in the last few rows because on that particular plane model, the last few rows are only 2 seats instead of 3, so I take the window & Matteo takes the aisle. We always find space for our bags thankfully, and we can get up easily to stretch our legs, and the bathroom is next to us as well, so we find it the most comfortable place to sit for long haul flights! 🤗
@@michaworldwide We haven’t noticed that any of the airlines we fly on have 2 in last row. Don’t know about being so close to potty as I have an ultra keen sense of smell🤪

I was literally in transit through Dubai to Brisbane, Australia two days ago, and yes, tossing my water was so frustrating!

That’s been that way for years. We lived in the Middle East until 2013 and been to Europe the double security check.
