The build works like a charm. The Midguard glitch still work. You do a lot more damage when you attack him during one of his attacks
Crazy how people figure out these things. Wouldn't surprise me if someone figured out how to vaporize him in 0.5 seconds.

if anyone needs to know the pattern, here it is:
1 Valour when he attacks you,
2 Freya Sedõr exhale,
3 Activate Hilt of Hōfud,
4 Charge flame whiplash, (hold triangle to charge)
5 Use flame whiplash ( R2 to use)
6 Use whiplash again,
7 Use whiplash once more,
8 Sprint to Hrolf and press R1 to finish him off.

@@paparoi8800 There an upgrade in the skill tree which allows you to instant charge flame whiplash where you pause for sometime after attacking. You can even shield bash then pause then your flame whiplash will instant charge.

Instead of the midgard enchantment you could use the vald enchantment that you get from a new game+ berserker. One of the easier ones. That gives even more cooldown and some strength.
First any strength or defense above 600 is useless because of the cap. Midgard endurance enchantment is glitch the game thinks that you have equiped all 3.

That Kratos would single handedly lay waste to Asgard in the final battle. It wouldn't mean shit if Odin caught Kratos in that hand trap spell like he did cause Kratos would bust through the ground completely to escape it. Mjolnir would get caught and thrown back at Thor with it still having constant force pushing it forward. Shit, if Atreus dies, Kratos would have so much rage that he would beat Ragnarok
Help me start a fight with the king when activated, valor for some reason does not knock down the king's attack because of this, I can't carry out that combination of animation in the video, it feels like it was fixed version 4.02 what to do? And I tried to activate it earlier anyway the king beats

I did it even tho the glitch only took out 3 bars or 2 bars max it helped me to use my own skills to finish him off also

You may be missing the gift of strength effect, look at 0:50

The key is to attack him during his attack for massive damage and make sure that poison has been applied

The trick is to get freya to poison him while shifting...BUT SHE DOESNT
You have to get the poison release timing right

Had same issue, learnt today you need to tap instead of hold. Also, check the last skill of blades of chaos- flame whiplash 3

Once you completed the game 100 percent you only need to open all nornir chest and collect dew drops
Across the realms is must side quest for every NG plus

I'm running the exact same setup except for one amulet slot where I replaced the Migard one for 'Vald', just to be sure the buffs trigger. I'm also playing on GMGOW.
The best damage I can get off of this combo is a single bar per whiplash hit. Those stats really do make up a shit load of your damage. It makes these builds look way better than they actually are.
The Midgard endurance glitch has been patched so this build is not powerful any more, however I will post a new video in upcoming week so stay tuned

Why the vanaheim set instead of Niflheim? When defence is higher than luck
Vanaheim does more damage then Niflheim if the enemy is in status, I prefer it

Most of the guys play the game on normal difficulty so it's possible to 3 shot the Berserker King even you are on NG plus 2 or 1.

Jonc remember the golden role the more you die the more you will learn. Try to learn kings moves and what to parry and dodge. It took me over 3 hours to finish king in my first playthrough
