In case anyone tries this trick, the second person must choose a whole number that is "greater than half" of the first number chosen (number of cards to be used). Otherwise, this trick will not work every time. The first lady chose 13, and notice that Mr. Woo limited the gentleman's choice to a number b/t 7-13. Half of 13 equals 6.5, therefore the next whole number greater would be 7. I am a former math teacher myself, and I've watched Mr. Woo's instructional videos. He is an incredible talent, and the educational systems need more like him. Great job, and keep up the great teaching!!!
If anyone is interested and wants to know more about that last trick, it’s under a branch of mathematics called ‘Knot Theory’. It’s really amazing stuff
He makes Math a world wonder, even the tone of his voice plays a role into it. I see why kids get sucked into it by him. It makes you want to find out all the tricks and exciting interesting things Math has to offer
I was excellent at math subjects in school because I had excellent teachers and it's great to get a refresher by watching Eddie Woo's videos. Thank you Eddie!
👍😍This is what it looks like when you clearly see someone who is passionate about what they do and clearly doing what they were meant to do!! Bless him!!💞
When I studied Trignometry in school the teacher said the only thing it was useful was to Calculate the height of some tree or mountain. But if she had said that it was also used to find near by restaurants in phone I would have paid more attention. I came to know about this use only when I started working for a company in Canada. The Haversine formulae is actually made of Trignometry. Using this we can find the distance between two points on Earth. Each point has a latitude and longitude on Earth. In our case, its where we are now and the latitude and longitude of those restaurants in our database. Now apply the formulae and calculate the distance and take the shortest distance, tats our nearest restaurant. Cool, another use of Math.
Guys just because one teacher is really good doesn't mean other teachers are bad Stop complaining about your teachers in the comments, you are lucky to even have an opportunity to go to school

Mr. Woo is not only a skilled math teacher but here he shows us two fun math problems in about 8 minutes on national TV. Most people can hardly get one message across in many more minutes but Mr. Woo shows he controls not only math but the clock as well ;-)
Eddie Woo you are the Best Math Teacher. Love your teaching style! Anyone will come out loving Math after your sessions! I follow your videos. Have to get your book
This guy is just amazing. I remember one teacher i had that was kind of like him (very similar by the way in aspect), i would never forget him. You know when you're going to a hard class, to which you really dont want to go because you know the topics are hard and every time you go the stuff that you didnt get the last time pills up with the new stuff you couldn't get this time, till a lot of what you have written down is just a complete mess? Well, i feel with this kind of teachers the thing is different, they make you feel that a hard subjet is not so hard at all and it is just a matter of seeing the thing from the right point of view. They take a lot of time just to make sure their teaching can be learn by even a 5 years old, because all parts in it fit in place like a puzzle. They make you want to learn more, they make math for example like playing guitar, or using a skateboard, or playing chess, they make it fun.
Hello Mr Woo, I am so happy to see you at my school at the last day of term (hunter school of the performing arts), i cannot wait to see you, you have motivated my interest for mathematics and i have improved so much with my enjoyment and academic achievements, (especially with maths), i always watch your videos just before i do a test just to get some advice from the best maths teacher in the world. I remember my dad got me to watch the Australian Story about a maths teacher, so i began to watch the video and became in love with the idea WooTube and consistently have been watching for a year now. Anyways, you are a great teacher and i'm so excited to see you at my school! Keep up the great videos
I am so impressed by how other countries are promoting teaching and learning as fun. There seems to be an ultimate purpose that we all want our children to be academically proficient. The U.S. in general has a very different attitude. Very unfortunate.
Really like your attitude. I got 'c'and 'd' always on math never ever made it any better no passion for math since no Iconic person to motivate me. Lucky those kids who have you. I'm sure they really have a good time with you in class.Besides you might better those who suffer from mental syndromes with your cheerful and lively manners and mine. P. S. You are a good looking guy.
i just happen to know this guy right now by watching a video of him called "Dividing by zero?" and i though this guy was a troll, but i then serached him on the intro and :OOOOOOO
GOOD ON YOU, Eddie. HAHAHAHA You will get Another TV CM from Qantas by showing their cards. I am studying math by your video. Guess you might be able to teach kids math at MCG like a famous hot Korean high school teacher had math boot camp for uni entrance test preparation at stadiums. Not joking but true. An Australia shining star!!!
In 10 years, Aussies will have great engineers, physicists and programmers, bio chemists who will blow us out of water. We're just having fun now, but wait until the Aussies collect all our taxes and cashes, we'll be woed by Mr. Woo! ;-)

Is there anywhere an explanation for those loops?
Look up 'Möbius strip'
Bring him to Vegas
Did he see the last card after shuffling or there is more math?
Did he just establish an Arithmatic series?
Is this man ever mad?

Bless
Wish he was my maths teacher...
