- NEW VAC ALERT! Here is my new Numatic James! It's just like a Henry but slightly more powerful and lighter! Henry has better cord storage but hey, it is what it is! I plan on doing a proper demo video on just the James to put it through it's paces, so stay tuned!

I knew the motors changed. I had an old Henry that had dual slow start motors and I was amazed at the sound and performance. Looking to buy another one and they all have different motors. Do you think the Henry sounds so different due to the enclosure?
The Henry just has a different motor to the James - depending on when the Henry was made it'll have a different motor tooo

the Henry (the red one) sounds like it may need a new bag or maybe a good cleaning in the filter, maybe both ..... and as it is older than the "James" vacuum cleaner, check the carbon brushes (inside the motor) as if they are worn out, provably the hoover must be loosing power ............ I have owned a Henry Numatic 9 litres vacuum cleaner for almost 9 years, only changing the bag and cleaning/washing the filter; it needs new carbon brushes and I have already ordered them to restore the hoover efficiency to its normal good level, other than that, Henry Numatic is just a monster of hoover ........ strong, durable, reliable and cheap; it can take any hard hoovering cleaning without a problem.
The motor in your James Sounds different to the one in my James that I got in 2018 but was made in 2017. The motor in my James is the same 620watt from the Henry and all the other Numatics. Hope Numatic aren't cheapening their vacuum quality 👌
Awesome, my James is an old model from somewhere in the mid 2000s
Sadly Numatic's quality has gone downhill since approx 2014, their motors don''t last, their wands feel thinner, their machines arrive marked up despite being brand new and their floortools are a lot worse too now without being metal soleplates

My 2017 James feels great quality and like it'll last a very long time still, but I had to replace the Dusting brush after just 6 months of having the machine, I've now had my James for 3 years 4 month's, and I've literally just had to buy another pack of bag's.
I bought 20 5 layer Qualtex microfiber bag's not long after buying my James and still got 1 or 2, so they've lasted a long time, I got genuine bags this time, and that's what's in now, I really like the new design of fitting and seal on the HEPA flo 👌
I still think Numatics are some of the best vacuums you can buy, they're obviously just not quite as good quality as they once were, still far far better than any modern Hoover/Vax 😁😉
@@guitarplayerforu Hoovers and Vaxes are terrible, I use a more industrial Henry for cleaning cars.

I agree, Henry is better for ASMR as the motor has a more softer *hummmmmmmm* to it

Your James vacuum cleaner sounds a tad noisier than the Henry vacuum cleaner does but that's probably due to how it's designed

@@vacuum_collector26 Thank you, I have a 1993 Henry, which needs a new filter and bucket, so I cant film that anytime soon untill I find the parts I need

It's not amazing but it does stick to the floor okay enough, it's harder to push and doesn't glide because the soleplate has a sharp edge so it scrapes against the pile it's horrible really
Hi! I was hoping you can give me some help :) I'm in the US and was currently in the market for a vacuum cleaner. I had decided between a Miele C1 Pure (Lotus White) and a Numatic Hetty 200. After much research I decided on the Hetty. I have been researching trying to find local suppliers for replacement bags, filters and any accessories. I've founds bags on Amazon and maybe one or two websites, but have had no luck with the filters. Can you tell me how often the filter needs to be changed? I know you're not in the US, but do you happen to know of maybe a different brand that might work? If parts for the vacuum are not readily available, sadly, I think I might have to return Hetty and I really would not want to do that.
Another question, between the Miele C1 and the Hetty 200, which is a better vacuum? I would like to know, just in case I have the need to return my Hetty.

Hi, thank you for the comment! The filter should last you years of use, it shouldn’t really get dirty as long as you wipe the bucket when you remove the bag and fit a new one. Worst case scenario you can wash the filter (it really is washable)
I prefer the Hetty over the Miele vacuums to be honest due to the robust design, they’re less likely to go wrong, the wands aren’t telescopic which is good because I’ve seen Miele telescope wands break even on mine and their speed controls can go faulty too. Also if you use a non genuine bag in a Miele the dust will make its way to the motor
But with a hetty, if your bag was to split for some reason you’re absolutely fine due to the thick filter protecting the motor
I really don’t think the newer Mieles are as good in quality as they used to be sadly. I see more faulty Mieles now than ever before

I was thinking I had to replace the filter often and was discouraged that I did find them. I will follow your suggestions about care of the vacuum.

I think I watched this about 10 times today . That's how good this video is 😂. But bcuz you did all the mess test with the herny , the dirt has really stained your carpet , I recomend you do a video with the v15 and see how much the Dyson picks up the left over dirt 😄

Interesting... Henry has MUCH less "whine" to that motor sound. That's worth the extra $75 to me - James is still powerful but you might as well suction out my eardrums too!

I want a Henry cordless vacuum with a turbo brush for carpets.
Sadly the cordless doesn’t have enough suction to drive one

Henry has a more powerful motor he has a twin flo so it’s a twin fan motor it’s also 1200w James has a single fan motor and is 1100w
The James manages to spin my airobrush faster though, wattage doesn't necessarily tell you how powerful a vacuum is, it only indicates how much electricity a vacuum uses
The 620W HEnry I have manages to spin my airobrush at the same speed at my 1200W henry despite using almost half the wattage
@@parwaz7861 oh, my Henry xtra which is currently 620w isnt as powerfull as my 1200w hetty lol anyways it’s getting upgraded tomorrow it will have a 1200w motor with the hi lo as well
