@@AaronMorgan666 the guitar in this video is a 30 inch scale. It was built to Josh's spec. The babymetal 9 and the esp custom shop 9 were under 28 but this one was built for him. He actually has 2 and I believe they are just the first two of a production model.

Your low chugs easily recognisable over any other guitarist. How do you achieve that sound? It's special signature chord or some processing? Can't get it. Damn hard. I need more of this
I have a theory, it's probably wrong but it's all I can think of. Most guitarists use 6-8 strings and tune really low. Your maximum string gauge is gonna be like 85. Josh is upwards of 105-110 ish. Just having such a thick string is going to add more hideous (delicious) texture that otherwise wouldn't be there by just downtuning. Of course its his technique, tone, and chords, but I really think the physical hardware is adding something. Noticeable as hell on Perfect War Forever.
@@DearFreja Josh has said he used a 74 gauge on his 8 string drop E because the you get more clarity with a smaller string gauge. The thicker the string, the more mud you get. I believe he has a 90 on his 9 string
The Procaster is bright and vibrant, the NTR is dark and round with extensive low end response, the NT1 is warm and sits right in the middle. Altogether it sounds massive and full across the frequency spectrum. Great choice of mics.
