Both took precautions against the two even though they trusted them with the most personal missons. I think that besides the oath and granting the dark mark, I also think that murder is not the only way to prove to the dark lord that you are worthy. For example if you are filthy rich and you can donate a huge portion of money to the organization you are probably in without a murder. Of course if you share the same racist ideology. Or if you are exceptionally strong/talented wizard like Severus was it means you are useful to the dark lord. And I am sure that in the moment of the dark mark's creation an incantation is spoken and it's in the presence of the whole group. Voldemort must have told them it's a duty to be present in the acceptance of a new member. All of them must have known each other. And rather they liked each other or not it didn't matter because they had a brotherhood of somewhat military elite unite.

Snape was better at potions than Voldemort? We don't actually know that. Don't forget - Voldemort doesn't share power and knowledge. He could've invented a thousand potions and kept it all to himself.
I kinda wish that the Harry Potter universe would just be expanded nearly infinitely through books. Either written by Rowling herself, OR and don't quote me on this, I believe their are dozens of Star Wars books written by a bunch of authors and they expand upon that universe. Edit: I just looked it up and there have been over 40 canon Star Wars books published since 2014 alone, I'm 32, and I remember there being a bunch of books when I was in elementary school and Junior high, I think it'd be kind of dope to see something like that with Harry potter, just because there's so much there, but that's just my opinion I don't know if it would make it better or ruin it

Peter Pettigrew was one of the best animaguses of his time. He was, after all, in rat-form for many, many years. He was immensely talented, but grossly underrated.
So, Voldy decides to start a cult with the goal to start a war... how does he start? Did he hand out flyers? Drive up beside kids in a white van saying stuff like "hey, you wanna kill some muggles?" I mean... he had to somehow start the rumour mill to get the word out.
He had his first inner circle in school, some of whom became fathers to future death eaters, some of them being Lestrange Sr., Avery Sr., Mulciber Sr., and Rosier Sr. I assume it’s also possible he recruited some former Grindelwald followers, one who I theorize was a former Grindelwald follower is Antonin Dolohov due to him being the only non-British wizard I can think of in the DE ranks as well as the fact that he was one of the first followers of Voldemort (1940s-pre 1968 era).

Did Slughorn ever invite Snape to his dinner party? If so why not? Was it because he realized Snape was better, which really goes against a teacher hoping their student surpasses them. Given Voldemort didn't seem so care about Slughorn would imply that Snape could make any potion he needed. Is that also why he went back to Hogwarts to meet Harry? Slughorn wasn't at good at potions as he thought so needed validation in Harry coming to his dinner party?
There is no real proof that Snape was better than Slughorn in potions (Snape corrected texts yes but that doesn't mean Slughorn personally followed exact textual method). Besides Slughorn wanted his favourite students to return his favour when they themselves reached authoritative positions. I've just seen a comment that said during the Tom Riddle's school days, Dumbledore seemed to have no attention or care about his condition due to his fight with Grindewald that unintentionally deter him from other things. Does this factor play an important role in Tom's life toward the dark side? I've just known about that so what would you think?
I think wormtail got in for being a death eater was he was seen worthy as a weasly rat and was passed on some key info and also gave voldemort the info on the potters

Why wouldn't he make them make the unbreakable vow to do his bidding and work in his best interest. That would guarantee they would all be loyal or they would die. No death eaters going to the ministry after his disappearance. They would be forced to look for him after his powers broke.
How did Peter become a death eater well despite what you think, Peter is definitely not weak, he killed 12 people at ones, got the better of a ministry which bertha, and together with crouch jr took down moody,, and he was very helpful in bringing Voldemort back to full power.
I imagine one of the rituals is this: Voldemort "Assume the position." Aspiring death eater: Crouches. Voldemort Paddles him. Aspiring death eater "Thank you sir, may i have another?"
Wormtail was never a death eater well not in a real sense. He certainly wasn't in the inner circle. He got the mark because of what he knew not what he could do. He was a means to an end and got treated as such. He was a coward and was kept close to Voldemort by force until he was no longer needed. The same in a certain way could be said of draco Malfoy. He was there to keep his fallen father there in a trap
Harry, Ron, and Heromine were all given chocolate frog cards after the Battle of Hogwarts for their role in the death of Voldemort and saving the Wizarding world a better video idea would be how a witch or wizard is selected for a card and how many muggle-born witches and wizards have one because I don't imagine there being many.

Besides that a plot hole is the marauders all being animagi, amd Dumbeldore seemed to know about James and Sirius Black being animagi but didn't know about Peter Or how he looked as a rat? Never made any sense to me..especially with him missing a finger in both forms and the rat having a visible bald spot in the books..even unregistered they all had distinctive and distinguishing marks as the animals they became after transformation. All of this needs to be clarified and discussed in depth.

Do you think Voldy rewarded service and saw it as indistinct from devotion? That is, Bellatrix offered both devotion and service whereas Pettigrew can't really do both. Maybe Voldy had a blind spot that couldn't distinguish the service Pettigrew offered (betraying the Potters, helping him get his body back) from the fidelity Bellatrix showed. Since devotion is a kinda related to love, it'd make sense he couldn't distinguish the two enough (though he did kill Pettigrew in the end, which suggests he wasn't totally fooled).
He shamed Pettigrew for returning to him and bringing him back “out of fear, not loyalty” so Voldemort knew the difference and definitely valued one more than the other

I kinda wish that the Harry Potter universe would just be expanded nearly infinitely through books. Either written by Rowling herself, OR and don't quote me on this, I believe their are dozens of Star Wars books written by a bunch of authors and they expand upon that universe.
Edit: I just looked it up and there have been over 40 canon Star Wars books published since 2014 alone, I'm 32, and I remember there being a bunch of books when I was in elementary school and Junior high, I think it'd be kind of dope to see something like that with Harry potter, just because there's so much there, but that's just my opinion I don't know if it would make it better or ruin it

Peter Pettigrew was one of the best animaguses of his time. He was, after all, in rat-form for many, many years. He was immensely talented, but grossly underrated.

He had his first inner circle in school, some of whom became fathers to future death eaters, some of them being Lestrange Sr., Avery Sr., Mulciber Sr., and Rosier Sr. I assume it’s also possible he recruited some former Grindelwald followers, one who I theorize was a former Grindelwald follower is Antonin Dolohov due to him being the only non-British wizard I can think of in the DE ranks as well as the fact that he was one of the first followers of Voldemort (1940s-pre 1968 era).

Urgh, that is such a middle school thing.
So Voldemort would have to start from scratch. Sure, he may have had a list of potential followers, and visited them one by one... but seriously... imagine if some random guy shows up at your door and say "Hey, my name is Lord Voldemort. I want to start a war to assert wizard kinda place above the muggles and filthy mudbloods. You in?" Would you not just close the door? Even if the things he says align with your political views, why would you trust some random no-name stranger? It could be a ministry sting operation after all. It is not just earning Voldemorts trust. But he also have to earn the initial recruits trust.
Did Slughorn ever invite Snape to his dinner party? If so why not? Was it because he realized Snape was better, which really goes against a teacher hoping their student surpasses them. Given Voldemort didn't seem so care about Slughorn would imply that Snape could make any potion he needed. Is that also why he went back to Hogwarts to meet Harry? Slughorn wasn't at good at potions as he thought so needed validation in Harry coming to his dinner party?
There is no real proof that Snape was better than Slughorn in potions (Snape corrected texts yes but that doesn't mean Slughorn personally followed exact textual method). Besides Slughorn wanted his favourite students to return his favour when they themselves reached authoritative positions. So, even if Slughorn thought that Snape was better than him, that would have only made him more eager to welcome Snape into slugclub and promote him

Why wouldn't he make them make the unbreakable vow to do his bidding and work in his best interest. That would guarantee they would all be loyal or they would die. No death eaters going to the ministry after his disappearance. They would be forced to look for him after his powers broke.

How did Peter become a death eater well despite what you think, Peter is definitely not weak, he killed 12 people at ones, got the better of a ministry which bertha, and together with crouch jr took down moody,, and he was very helpful in bringing Voldemort back to full power.

Wormtail was never a death eater well not in a real sense. He certainly wasn't in the inner circle. He got the mark because of what he knew not what he could do. He was a means to an end and got treated as such. He was a coward and was kept close to Voldemort by force until he was no longer needed. The same in a certain way could be said of draco Malfoy. He was there to keep his fallen father there in a trap

Harry, Ron, and Heromine were all given chocolate frog cards after the Battle of Hogwarts for their role in the death of Voldemort and saving the Wizarding world a better video idea would be how a witch or wizard is selected for a card and how many muggle-born witches and wizards have one because I don't imagine there being many.

If Peter pedigree was in the order of the Phoenix he was string and powerful enough to be a death eater. Besides that a plot hole is the marauders all being animagi, amd Dumbeldore seemed to know about James and Sirius Black being animagi but didn't know about Peter Or how he looked as a rat? Never made any sense to me..especially with him missing a finger in both forms and the rat having a visible bald spot in the books..even unregistered they all had distinctive and distinguishing marks as the animals they became after transformation. All of this needs to be clarified and discussed in depth.

Do you think Voldy rewarded service and saw it as indistinct from devotion? That is, Bellatrix offered both devotion and service whereas Pettigrew can't really do both. Maybe Voldy had a blind spot that couldn't distinguish the service Pettigrew offered (betraying the Potters, helping him get his body back) from the fidelity Bellatrix showed. Since devotion is a kinda related to love, it'd make sense he couldn't distinguish the two enough (though he did kill Pettigrew in the end, which suggests he wasn't totally fooled).
He shamed Pettigrew for returning to him and bringing him back “out of fear, not loyalty” so Voldemort knew the difference and definitely valued one more than the other
